This is a follow up to my archived inquiry from March: Forum:Collapsibility_not_working_in_migrated_nav_template.

I decided to try out the coding for some nav templates from the Bleach Wiki on the Battle Angel Wiki as I like how the v, d, and e buttons are displayed. However even though the coding on many of the templates there specifies collapsible, this seems to be hit and miss on some of the templates on the Bleach Wiki, as some will autocollapse but others don't. The 2 column format in particular is not collapsing whereas it works with the the single column with multiple row format. I've noticed the same thing on the BA Wiki as well, e.g. this works and this doesn't.

As advised by the post, I modified the Common.js on the BA Wiki to allow for collapsibility. This works on a prior navbox template that I was using, but is not working on the migrated coding from Bleach Wiki for the 2 column format.

Any ideas? Thanks! BrokenSphere (Talk) 20:22, June 30, 2011 (UTC)

I don't know much about coding, but there could be some css you need to import as well. Also, moving templates cross wiki can be a bit hard, due to the fact lots of them have several other pages in the MediaWiki they rely on. --WH (Talk) 06:26, July 1, 2011 (UTC)
I strongly advise using stable collapsible code from either the dev wiki or the MediaWiki manual on collapsible tables. As for the problem in question; to be able to collapse a table the table heading needs to be an actual table heading - starting with "!" as opposed to "|" which is the case in Template:Motorball on your wiki.
