Is there a way to backup my wikia, all the articles and templates and such? I want to have a just-in-case copy.

Download a Database dumb from Special:Statistics on the wiki you want to backup. ZamorakO_o (talk) 16:31, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Is there a way to do this for images or must this be done manually? -- Bunai82 (talk) 00:06, October 29, 2010 (UTC)
You can use MediaWikiDumper tool. ~ Edward Chernenko <edwardspec@gmail.com>MediaWikiDumper 02:34, October 29, 2010 (UTC)
oh, have you used this tool before? I am still organizing images, but would like to make a backup in the future. So far I am impressed that Wikia kept images from as far as 2005 -- Bunai82 (talk) 06:17, October 29, 2010 (UTC)
I've written it. Both my home wiki (Absurdopedia) and russian WoWWiki were moved from Wikia using this tool. English WoWWiki (currently Wowpedia) used it too, but only to save images and logs (it was too large to copy articles text one-by-one, there're 86k articles in Wowpedia). ~ Edward Chernenko <edwardspec@gmail.com>MediaWikiDumper 06:36, October 29, 2010 (UTC)
