Here's what I'm trying to upload.

Uh, I want to put a 1600px optimized background image in the background of my Wiki, but it says "File extension does not match MIME type". I do not get this because it is a png image, I did not change the type, I tried with a few other optimizers, but nothing works...help? Here's a thumb, it exceeds 150 KB so that's why I try to optimize. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------->

Well, the obvious option would be to convert the image as a jpg and try that. If that doesn't work, try deleting the file and reupload it. Now, if that doesn't even work, you can always circumvent the ThemeDesigner via CSS. — subtank ^(7alk) 02:00, May 22, 2012 (UTC)

Actually, there's no reason the image can't be .png and within the 150kb limit of Theme Desiner. I've uploaded a new version of the file which easily sits beneath the 150kb cap. In truth, though, I've far exceeded the tech specs necessary for this simple file. It can probably be done as a 16-color file with no appreciable loss of quality and still come in under 50kb. czechout ☎ ✍  fly tardis  02:34: Tue 22 May 2012 

It is likely that the first background uploaded to the wiki was in jpg format and the OP tried uploading a png over the jpg, hence the notification. Regardless, it looks like it is solved (the OP messaged me).— subtank ^(7alk) 02:38, May 22, 2012 (UTC)
