I have an appearance box needed like in the 24 Wiki. It's needed for the Dutch Rode Ridder Wiki. I hope someobody can help me! It's really needed ;) --Station7 13:04, December 17, 2010 (UTC)

What kind of help do you need? There are quite a few decent infobox templates around you can copy for your wiki, for example, the one on the template wiki. This is actually a template to create a template. Do you have trouble with 'installing' a template or do you really like to have one with specific features? Templates aren't really that complicated by the way: If you can create it once on any page, you can turn it into a template. An infobox usually is nothing more but a table or box with a few extra features.
We kunnen trouwens ook verder in het Nederlands kleppen, maar dan weten andere bezoekers weer niet wat we allemaal bespreken;) Groeten, ~ BramTalk/IW 13:17, December 17, 2010 (UTC)
The 24 wiki appearances box is just a series of tables that sit in a number of nested navbox templates (navbox with sub groups). If you have the Navbox templates set (must be a compatible version to 24 Wikis one) then Just add the Appearences template to your wiki with a new/modified data table for your application. The biggest part of updating it is the Data table that has a lot of If statements within it to select the active cells to be displayed when the character was in a particular episode. If you want a similar time based structure (like 24 wiki) or a date based one its relatively easy to modify it just a bit repetitive, but copy and pasting a basic data row and just changing a couple of items each time will speed it up once you have customised it to suit your wiki. -   BulldozerD11   talk    contribs    email   16:54, December 17, 2010 (UTC)
So just copying and changing? I will try.--Station7 14:20, December 18, 2010 (UTC)
The Appearances template does use another template itself: Template:Navbox. That's is a copy of a fairly complicated Wikipedia-template that also uses some javascript to make it collapsible if I'm not mistaken. You could try and copy everything, including the navbox template and all the information it needs from MediaWiki:Common.css (or Wikia.css) and MediaWiki:Common.js and try to modify it. Another option would be to create a the table/frame yourself, so not based on the Navbox template, and then use (some of) the mechanics of the Appearances template of 24 wiki, or something similar. To be honest, I think it's much easier and just as useful to have a simple appearances list for every character on your Wiki like you have now. 24 has a very 'simple' season/episode structure, so that's why such a template works for them, but I don't think it's necessary for every tv of comic series. ~ BramTalk/IW 14:42, December 18, 2010 (UTC)
Note: I've added the sub-template "Navbox with columns" that is also called by Appearances and updated the example and it now appears to be working for your new data in table 1 on your De Rode wiki. The actual Navbox template now collapses (by show/hide) for me but also show a Dutch ? caption for some reason on the Doc page example. But the 'Appearances' box does not show any show/hide in the main heading but does show it in the sub group box within it with the data in. The option to edit the table by V.D.E links does not appear to be set up in the appearances box version but can be used with templates using Navbox as i fixed the missing Navbar template yesterday that adds the function. -   BulldozerD11   talk    contribs    email   16:00, December 18, 2010 (UTC)
