Hi, I am the main admin of a game's wiki. The game just released an iOS version, and the pages needed for the iOS version wiki would be the same, only some of the info in them would need to be changed. Is there any way to copy the database from one Wikia wiki to a new one? --Kyle$calise 20:43, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
- You can, but if it's all the same franchise of games, it's probably best to keep them on the same wiki. Many wikis have done the same. It generates more traffic on the wiki that's already established and keeps the community together. For an idea to see how some gaming wikis have integrated several games to the same wiki, you can check out wikis like Nukapedia, WoWWiki or Burnopedia. If the name of the wiki doesn't quite reflect the addition of a new change, you could Special:Contact Wikia to try and get a wiki redirect or name change. (You wouldn't want to change the URL of the wiki though - it would take months for Google and other popular search sites to index the new URL.) Rappy 21:02, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
