I like to know how to setup AOL Instant Messanger on wikia for that the user(s) can reach me or other administrator(s)without having to send e-mail to us and waiting for us to respond to that e-mail. Any hints? Sundogs 01:48, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Edit - Or use MSN Live, Yahoo!, or other messanger servers that the administrator(s) might use as their default messanger. Sundogs 01:51, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Well for AIM it's a matter of incorporating this somehow: <a href="aim:GoIm?screenname=Screenname&message=Test+Message">IM Me</a> --LordTBT Talk! 16:14, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
mw:Extension:AIM does that, though looking at that link LordTBT posted and comparing it to the one that is in the extension, I think that Wikia could easily expand that extension to do even more. Perhaps bundle all the IM extensions into one <im/> tag. ~Dantman(talk) tricks Apr 19, 2007 @ 17:54 (UTC)
Thanks Dantman! I am still confused on how to word this, when creating a new page, how would I end this? Should I end it .php or what? I also need an extension key for MSN Live Messanger. Thanks again for the help! Sundogs 07:56, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Only the Staff can add things like that to Wikia. Actually Extension:AIM isn't the only one. There's already also Extension:ICQ Extension:Skype Extension:Yahoo and Extension:Jabber. But it's unlikely that you'll get any of these extensions added to Wikia right now. All of them suffer from poor coding which allow cross-site scripting attacks. ~Dantman(talk) tricks Apr 21, 2007 @ 04:19 (UTC)
