Hello. I wanted to know how I could add a back up link from archive.org or some other backup site to an external link that is now obsolete. An example of what I would like to learn to do can be seen on this page [1]. You will notice a list of blogs that are now offline but have been cached and given that message stating the link is an archived one and not the original. Could someone show me the template on how to do this? Maphisto86 02:49, August 12, 2012 (UTC)
- w:c:starwars:Template:Blog. They're prefixing the url with
web.archive.org/web/and append another template parameter to it. A template here makes sense only because the URLs are similar. Else you could as well just link to archive.org manually.--PedroM (talk) 20:18, August 12, 2012 (UTC)
