How do you go about adding a shortcut to a Wikia page? I want to drop something something akin to the [[WP:N]] and [[WP:AGF]] stuff you can find on Wikipedia to make it easier to link to subsections in a page. (e.g., much as [[WP:DGF]] links to a subsection of [[WP:AGF]]). Tabercil 18:31, July 18, 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia's shortcuts are just redirects. Using Wikipedia as an example, the contents of WP:AGF is simply:

#REDIRECT [[Wikipedia:Assume good faith]]

Similarly, the contents of: WP:DGF is:

#REDIRECT[[Wikipedia:Assume good faith#Demonstrate good faith]]

Wikipedia also includes a small box to the right, saying what is a shortcut to there. The code they use is overly complicated for most uses, the code: {| class="infobox" style="width:auto;" ! style="text-align:center; font-size:0.8em; line-height:1.1em; padding:0.8em;"|Shortcut<br /> [[Foo:Bar]] |}

Should be fine for your purposes -- RandomTime 00:35, July 19, 2010 (UTC)

You can ask Wikia to set up an alias for the project namespace, which would work perfectly for what you're asking. You can see w:c:clubpenguin as an example with CPW:. For example, w:c:clubpenguin:CPW:Joeyaa is super awesome will server side redirect to Club Penguin Wiki:Joeyaa is awesome. Ask via Special:Contact for this. Joey (talk) 02:21, July 19, 2010 (UTC)
