I recently founded a wiki, with achievements enabled. There is only other other human editor, with exactly one edit.
When I made my 65th edit, I promptly received a message: "Congratulations! You have received the Lucky Edit badge for making the 2000th edit to the wiki!"
Is this a glitch? What could be the cause?
Also, when I visit the user page of the other contributor, or any user page, it looks as though they all have my badges, though the points total is reported correctly. This must be a glitch. —This unsigned comment is by 77topaz (wall • contribs). Please sign your comments by adding "~~~~" in the source editor.
- The "Lucky Edit" badge is a legit badge. The fact that you (and I) can see our badges on other users' profiles is a bug. I suggest you let them know. :) Starfleet Academy (Messages) 04:20, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
- But, how can my 65th edit be the 2000th edit to the wikia? I made it, and nobody else edited it except the one-edit-er, so how can there be 2000 edits? And the Lucky Edit starts at 1000 edits, and there's no 1000th edit badge anywhere. 77topaz (talk) 04:28, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
- The Lucky Edit badge is for the wiki's 2000th edit, not your 2000th edit. As for seeing your own achievements, I've reported that to Staff and they are working on it. ~ Toci ~ Go ahead, make my day. 04:26, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
- Toci is right. The badge is for the whole site. To answer you query about why it's 2000: For each 1000 edits on a wiki, a badge is awarded to the user that made the (1000th, 2000th, 3000th etc.) revision. The reason why you have been given the 2000th badge is possibly that the system is recognizing some of its own edits. That said, I've checked your wiki and it has only had approx. 290 edits. This might be a bug actually... Starfleet Academy (Messages) 05:12, September 14, 2012 (UTC)
- I've seen the 2000-edit bug on another wiki now as well. 77topaz (talk) 23:47, October 7, 2012 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Yeah, well that wiki doesn't have 2000 edits either. Btw, as I forgot to say before, you can always send in a bug report. The staff might be able to answer your queries. :) Starfleet Academy (Messages) 04:13, October 8, 2012 (UTC)
