I can't find any statistics on monthly account creations. Could something for this be implemented? It would be nice to know how many people are signing up per month. -- LordTBT ^Talk! 01:18, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

Since we have wiki-wide accounts, it would have to be across all Wikia, which isn't really relevant for any particular wiki. I don't know of a stats page listing changes specifically, but Special:Statistics has the Wikia wide stats, which you could check on every so often. Other than the upload log, no other feature really exists to track that. I know Wikia's team does keep track of those sorts of numbers (they keep track of just about everything statistical), but I don't really see them finding ways to relay that sort of information with all that they do as is. --DaNASCAT 15:01, October 22, 2009 (UTC)

You can check the Account Creation log (Special:Log/newusers) on your Wiki, but that only applies to users who registered first on your wiki and if you wanted to find out how many per week/per month, you'd have to do the math yourself. I know I can check the log for account creations, I was looking for a feature that did the math, in the same way wikistats tracks edits. What % creations up/down each month, how many, etc. -- LordTBT ^Talk! 03:04, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

LordTBT, just heard from a member of the community team that actually such a statistical feature is currently being looked at. However, we can't really guarantee this will happen. Just know it is something receiving interest. --DaNASCAT 17:22, October 23, 2009 (UTC)

Good to know, please keep me in the loop for future updates. I find this statistical data important because it can demonstrate to admins success/failure in "getting the word out" on the wiki, etc. -- LordTBT ^Talk! 04:35, October 24, 2009 (UTC)
