Could someone tell me how can I change the text editor of my wiki? I actually have the one like next:

(given by default)

but There seems to be an another editor as below:

I find it interesting to install on my wiki. What do I need to do to get this? Is it sort of optional extention of mediawiki? --Cafeinlove 08:50, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

You can activate that editor extension by enabling the checkbox "Enable Rich Text Editing" in your preferences. --Weas-El Talk|Contribs 10:11, January 19, 2011 (UTC)
Thank you for your help! But that menu doesn't appear in my user preferences, so I'll request this on --Cafeinlove 12:11, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

It will only show up in preferences if its enabled on that wiki. Some wikis have it disabled because it did/does have some problems, or some wiki coding is too advanced for it. It also isnt enabled by default in all languages yet, because the interface has not yet been translated fully/at all. Also, its best to use Special:Contact from the wiki where the problem is happening. It speeds up responses and saves time of asking where its happening, and waiting for a reply. Its linked at the bottom of every page ("Contact"). --Uberfuzzy@fandom 01:36, January 20, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you, now I understand better! I took contact with the administration by the URL above. --Cafeinlove 07:09, January 20, 2011 (UTC)
