Hello, I have two questions. Is there a feature that lets you Minus a Category without having to use the "Edit Page" button?
For the wiki I work on, I am planning to create a new Category and I want to transfer all the Articles under the Old Category to the new one. So will deleting the Old Category effect the articles? Or must I edit every single article to the New Category and just hit the "x button" each time? Bunai82 03:26, March 8, 2010 (UTC)
- You'll have to manually change each page to the new category. If you have the means/capability to use AWB or Pybot, you can do this is a more quick and automated way. --User? 03:31, March 8, 2010 (UTC)
- In answer to the first question, there unfortunately isn't a feature to remove a category in this way. Also, if you delete the old category, the red link to that category will still show on every article. The 888th Avatar (talk) 03:34, March 8, 2010 (UTC)
