These blogs don't have a "Show All Comments" link any more, and the URL parameter doesn't work. To show all of the comments has been the best way to keep track of all of the comments, and that's no longer possible now. Is this an intentional change? Is it still possible to see all comments on one page easily? --◄mendel► 06:14, September 2, 2010 (UTC)

Feature, not bug. It's disabled when there are 200+ comments. Joey (talk) 08:32, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
Bleh, they should implement showall by AJAX if it bothers them that much. --Pcj (TC) 11:50, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
So they finally figured out that loading 1500+ pagelets and 600+ avatars (after looking them up from user IDs) is more load on the server than loading a big-ass talkpage. Blogs are still broken. And now I'm pondering writing something that will make a talkpage from an XML dump of these comments. --◄mendel► 14:35, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
Do you know how to get an XML dump? I tried looking at the API but didn't see anything relevant. --Pcj (TC) 14:38, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
Scrape this (or use DPL), put it in that. --◄mendel► 15:29, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
Oh, you mean manually. --Pcj (TC) 15:31, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
Well, semiautomatically. That XML dump would be the input of a program that ideally outputs an XML dump that looks like a talkpage with lots of revisions. I'm not sure how much the "manual" operations can be automated since I really don't have any API experience. --◄mendel► 15:35, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
Hmm...I suppose the similar API query would be It will take some thought to get this to be parsed with JS.... --Pcj (TC) 15:41, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
You could figure out what it is autopager does and make a script that does that for blog comment pages? Ose TalkContribs 18:05, September 2, 2010 (UTC)
