Some month ago, there was an URL parameter that one could use to see a page as anon without changing it in the prefereces. It was returning as normal as soon as we clicked another link.

Is this still possible ?

What was the URL parameter named and what value to give it ?

Thanks all. — TulipVorlax 01:28, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

I believe it is ?showads=1 Kirkburn  talk  contr  @fandom  20:29, September 1, 2009 (UTC)
Ok, i'll try it right away.
I want to use this along with a purge link in the "page in widget" widget. That way i can disable ads (in my prefs) so it doesn't hinder my capacities to contribute (i've found ads can be disturbing even for me) and still be able to see them on a perticular page when i need to. — TulipVorlax 23:44, September 2, 2009 (UTC)
Working great, thanks. — TulipVorlax 23:51, September 2, 2009 (UTC)
javascript:document.location=document.location+'?showads=1';

If it was something i want to keep to myself, the JS fav would be enough.
If you add the page in widget to your sidebar, you can see the links i've put in it.
That way, an admin can provide a few things for experienced users that arent as experienced as admin.
Or so... — TulipVorlax 18:01, September 4, 2009 (UTC)

I made a simple button for it. The script is very basic though, and the button will always show, even on pages that have no ads at all. Ose TalkContribs 19:51, September 4, 2009 (UTC)

Is the text on the button english only ? — TulipVorlax 21:57, September 5, 2009 (UTC)
Uhm, yeah, but you can just take the script, place it on your js page and replace the word refresh. Ose TalkContribs 22:30, September 5, 2009 (UTC)

Is it possible to have ads enabled for previewing? I sometimes would like to know how the page will look before I save the page. --D. (talk · contr) 14:02, September 12, 2009 (UTC)
