Hi, guys, I have this template that whenever applied to a page, it automaticlly put in the category "Character Needs Type" is there a way to remove it? I want it to be plain grey the way it is... Anakin Skyobiliviator (talk) 20:46, December 20, 2011 (UTC)

It's wrapped in an <includeonly> tag, meaning that it'll be included on the page when the template is added to the page. – zzi 20:50, December 20, 2011 (UTC)
Are you sure? I don't see it...One time I tried removing it and it cause an error...Anakin Skyobiliviator (talk) 20:57, December 20, 2011 (UTC)
Yes. Have you tried CTRL+F? It's quite handy. – zzi 21:03, December 20, 2011 (UTC)
What does that do? Anakin Skyobiliviator (talk) 21:07, December 20, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, the find function, use it all of the time, but can't you guy just erase it? I don't know what to erase.... Anakin Skyobiliviator (talk) 21:20, December 20, 2011 (UTC)
Dear Anakin,
The purpose of the support forum is to make you smarter, not to keep you unknowing.
At a wiki's template, whenever there are tags added <includeonly>text</includeonly> that will be used to display on the page where the actual template is inserted the text between those tags.
You can also add <noinclude>this text is only displayed on the template page</noinclude> to have information like documentation on a maybe more difficult to comprehend template or yust information you want people to know which came looking at the template page (for instance: that you have worked hard on it, but want others to copy it if they link to your wiki, in case they find your template interesting, or to notify you used a combination of different templates in that template page).
If you remove the includeonly and/ or noinclude tags the template will assume that all text are to be inserted into a specific page where the template's magic word is used. This might not always be what you want to happen.
Hope this clears it up for you to handle things yourself.
Good lord! This is the second "Dear Anakin," letter sent to me! I don't think I should get this much royalty, I mean, I am just another user that needs help...Anakin Skyobiliviator (talk) 03:01, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
And second of all, as I said, it is not there. Did anyone even looked at the source view of the template? Anakin Skyobiliviator (talk) 03:05, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
Take a closer look, I saw two instances of it on your template. ForestMonthZero 07:49, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
Should be fixed. Rappy 17:01, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
