Lately, there's been spam IPs invading Kirby Wiki. Their articles center around "Bitcoin" or something like that. Is there any way to block them all from the wiki, or at least blacklist the word Bitcoin?--Starman125

Yes. I'll go look into that now. In the future, see the VSTF wiki. User:Sactage/s.js 19:53, March 16, 2012 (UTC)
Interesting. FFWiki has been hit with bitcoin spam as well. I thought it was an isolated event, especially since the admins nuke it minutes within its creation, so it wasn't a big deal. Looks like somebody's trying to bring bitcoins back into value or something. Cat 20:37, March 16, 2012 (UTC)
Yes, it's being spammed a lot lately. I've set up some global filters to hopefully stop it. User:Sactage/s.js 20:38, March 16, 2012 (UTC)
Whatever the global filter is, it doesn't seem to be catching all of the spam. Here's an example that was created at 23:41, 2012 March 17 (UTC) on the BioShock Wiki: [1] --Gardimuer { ʈalk } 00:52, March 18, 2012 (UTC)
The Valve Developer Community Wiki has been getting hit by Bitcoin spam as well. This started earlier today and so far over 70 pages/users have been tagged as spam. They aren't flooding, though. There seems to be 10-60 minute delays between spam occurences. 96.239.171.180 04:42, March 25, 2012 (UTC)
