In your case, slightly more than 1/5th of your articles are shorter.  Additionally you have a fair number of redlinked categories and I found the setup difficult to navigate.  Please fill out your content so that no more than 78 pages are less than 300 bytes, and also work on creating/organising the redlink categories. First you have a 3 line sitenotice; could you trim it down to 2 lines please?  Secondly, the main page is sysop protected against editing, but I can't see any history of vandalism.  Could you please drop the protection level to registered users or none at all?  Having the main page locked against edits runs counter to the idea of a freely editable wiki; if it is vandalized you can reprotect it at that point.  You have a few uncategorized pages (one appears to be a blank page in fact).  Finally, could you please add a sidebar menu link to Special:NewFiles (recently added images).  Most of these are fairly small adjustments. ==Wiksteria Lane (Desperate Housewives Wiki)==
Hey, I'm UFO_Editor and an admin on [[http://desperatehousewives.wikia.com/wiki/Desperate_Housewives_Wiki|Wiksteria Lane]]. We are requesting to be featured on a wiki spotlight, as the wiki currently only has around 3-4 regular editors who are committed to expanding the wiki.
Yesterday, we reached our goal of having 500 pages and have since added more, which is a great achievement, we feel.
If you check out other Desperate Housewives sites, you'll see how big the fan-base is for the show, and we'd like to bring those fans to Wikia and help expand our wiki and even others!
It's been very hard to reach 500 pages and it took us a very long time - seeing as the wiki was founded in 2006 - and the wiki could be a huge success if we had new editors.
We were featured in a spotlight sometime last year, but we didn't see any change in the amount of editors etc, but when the show entered its sixth season, we saw a huge increase. But the show took a break for about a month and those great editors have disappeared now.

Hi there, my name is Tigernose and I am the founder of the Choro Q Wiki. We requested before and Wendy left us on a task to do, although the message was not archived and removed completely.

We were founded over a year ago, and over the year we have had a major revamp. Our already potentially large database (potential articles up to 800) has been expanded to cover the whole game series (potential articles in the thousands easily).

However, we have had an incredibly tiny userbase. Usually, there are only 2 or 3 active users in a month, although I know a huge deal of people who play the game. The problem is, the wiki isn't been worked enough to be a comfortable place to edit in. So, the only current way to get a wave of editors in, is spotlight. I feel that the sheer potential of this wiki, the amount of details it can cover is something that shouldn't be missed. We're the only fansite about the game series, and a lot of people are looking for answers all around other sites. 

The thing is, we can't work on this wiki to its full potential with 2 or 3 editors. I can't do everything by myself, so hopefully a spotlight will allow everybody to contribute to this wiki easily. Our logo isn't even done properly because we don't have any users with great photo-skills.

Anyway, I am happy to work on anything that doesn't meet the criteria. We added a page a long time ago (click [[w:c:choroq:Choro Q Wiki:Spotlight|here]]) that is a spotlight for criteria. Criteria has changed, so we'll be willing to do anything to get it.

With a sufficient amount of users, this wiki could at least have 2000 articles, a main page update weekly and a substantial community. Thanks.

As of this request, the wiki has 202 content pages and 687 total pages. Please know that by the time you read this, that number will be higher. Currently, there are 3 active users and sometimes newer users will stop by. I think being spotlighted will let more people see this wiki and draw in other interested people. I am always prepared to handle vandalism and know of other users who can help. Also, the number of stubs is usually smaller than it appears on the short pages list because I usually spend all day expanding on stubs.

:Hi Progmansp.  Robopedia looks really good -- congratulations on reaching 500 articles!  My one concern is that your content is a little bit weak for a spotlight; nearly half of your content is a "stub" in the sense of a very short, 2-3 sentence article.  Clicking "Random Page" on the wiki makes this very obvious.  In order to meet the spotlight criteria of stubs not being more than 1/5th of the total articles, you need to have only about 100 stub articles.  As a rough guide, try to make sure the pages are longer than 300 bytes in Special:Shortpages or about 4 sentences at least. Hi, I would like to request Wikisimpsons gets a spotlight. The last couple of months, we have been putting a lot of effort in to making this wiki fit for a spotlight. We now have just under 1/5 of our articles stubs, around 900 now, but these are going down daily. We are quite a big wiki with around 4500 articles and in the middle of the new season of The Simpsons, now will be a good time for the spotlight to come. Plus, this year is the 20th anniversary of The Simpsons.

:Hi Yina.  Teen Titans Fan Fiction Wiki looks great -- the new skin is really dramatic! There are a couple of issues that need to be taken care of; the first is that your sitenotice is 3 lines, but it needs to be no more than 2 lines for a spotlight (removing the "Important Notice!" line would fix that).   As Bluethunder noted, you also have some uncategorized pages; could you please categorize them?  Finally I am a bit confused by your category structure; there appear to be characters in Category:Characters, Category:Fictional Characters, and things like Category:Articles by Watchamacalit or Category:Eos.  Could you work on sorting these out so, for example, all the characters are together?  Remember that it is possible to categorize a category.  This would make the wiki much easier to browse. The Three Kingdoms period of ancient China (184 A.D. - 280 A.D.) is about a time when China was divided into three states; Wei, Wu and Shu. These three states fought each other to unite China under their own rulership. Throughout the years various sources have been used to determine what happened back then. Some sources are historical, some are fictitious and some are true, some contain errors. These sources are often mixed up (Wikipedia itself is a good example of this). :Hi.  The Godfather Wiki looks really good.  The one problem I see is that the "Content" box on the main page is too wide for smaller (1024px wide) screens, which are common for wiki-users. :Hi.  I go by the [[Community Central:Spotlights|Spotlight Criteria]].  If you can meet all of those then generally speaking there is no problem with getting a spotlight.  At anyrate, right now, Wikitroid has a few areas to work on to meet the criteria.  1) it has an excessively long sitenotice (it sould be 2 lines or less)  2)you need to add a link to recently added images in the sidebar menu 3)it looks like you have taken care of most of the uncategorized pages, but there are a few left  4) you would need to turn back on the automated wikia welcome tool and 5) You should probably finish changing the skin and doing whatever it is to the main page so the wiki is in a stable condition when the spotlight goes up. :Hi.  I can't directly find where the admin approved the request, so I'd need a link to that.  Also, the wiki does not currently meet the [[Community Central:Spotlights|Spotlight Criteria]].  The Community Corner on My Home needs to be customized and there is no link to recently added images in the sidebar.  You need to have the auto-welcome tool on (Mediawiki:Welcome-user set to @sysop or @latest).  There are also a few uncategorized pages.  Most critically, you have 250 pages, or over half your content in "Articles needing expansion" which is essentially the same thing as a stub category.  Seeing that big black box about the article needing "everything" on half the pages is quite offputting to a visitor. There is still a lot of blocking/unblocking/promoting/demoting going on as well.  In addition, you do not currently meet all of the spotlight criteria;  offhand I notice that the sitenotice is too long, there is no link to new pictures in the sidebar menu,  there are some uncategorized pages, and while you have a picture on your mainpage it is buried way at the bottom. :Hi.  Meerkats Wiki looks pretty nice.  There are a couple of things you need to do to meet the spotlight criteria.  The first is that you have no pictures on your mainpage.   On a related note, you also need a link in your sidebar menu to Newly added images.  Let me know when you have taken care of these issues.  More seriously, the english on many of your content pages contains a lot of grammatical mistakes, isn't wiki-linked, doesn't have any paragraph breaks and is generally sort of hard to read as a result.  Spotlighted wikis need to be easy and fun for visitors to browse.  You seem to have plenty of good content; perhaps you could spend some time focusing on cleaning up the writing and creating infoboxes to help straighten out the pages? There are a couple of other issues with the request.  First of all I can't see that you are an administrator on the wiki, and the request needs to be made by one (or at least one needs to be aware of it).  There are a few uncategorized pages and the mainpage is locked against editing by users.  Also, since the default skin is not monaco, wikistickies and my home are not even visible to most users, and the My Community section is not customized.  An additional problem is that as best I can tell, existing wikia users have to recreate their accounts to be logged in on uncyclopedia.
