Mythbusters Wiki

Hello!

I was recently approved for the adoption of the Mythbusters Wiki, which I'm extremely thankful for. But, I've run into a problem. I've really got no other contributors who help with mainpage stuff. I'd also like to make the Wiki itself look more appealing to users, but I'm having trouble coming up with ideas! I also have other ideas that I'd like to share and discuss, even implement, if I can get someone here to help me. RareWiki

Umm...I am sure it could use more contributors and I am basically the only active sysop there, but ask SWFlash for bureaucrat question. All pages are categorized, no unacceptable stuff, and surely enough, I have expanded and added a lot of images onto the wiki so wh not make it popular seeing that a contributor managed to find this wiki because of that. Like Bob said, you have to be an admin to have access to the theme designer, which is where you change the logo among other things. If you're not currently an admin on The Sims Social Wiki and the current admin(s) has been inactive for at least 60 days, you'll need to go to Community Central:Adoption requests and put in a request to adopt the wiki. Shameless Wiki

I adopted the Shameless Wiki a few months ago and have started making real head way with article content but I'm not versed in Wiki code beyond the basics. We could really use the help in the hope of attracting more editors. Hi Dog of War. If you are interested in becoming an admin for the wiki, submit a request on the adoption request page, and someone from the Community Support team will follow up with you. Dante's Inferno Wiki Homepage Help

I have recently adopted the Dante's Inferno Wiki (For which I am ever so grateful.) and while I can handle the badges and cleaning up the wiki, I was really hoping to get a background image for the wiki as well. Thanks for the new layout! It looks really nice, and it doesn't take up too much room as the old one. I have to admit, though, that the wiki (top) navigation needs a logo to replace "The Angry Beavers Wiki" text link. John Carter Wiki

it has become incredibly important that the final portal on the John Carter of mars wiki be finished . . . . on the main page of Johncarter.wikia.com there is a . .. portal . . . sphere . . thing . . . All the portals are done but one, the earth and pellucidar portals. Only the earth portal needs a design though, because the pellucidar portal will be just a mirrored version of the earth portal . . . the earth portals content is more or less Edgar Rice Burroughs tarzan series (the original tarzan books) . . . also . . . I am not so good at adjusting theme colors . . . and I was hoping to get something to better match the awesome new background . . . . so thats all ralok 16:57, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

Glee Wiki

Batman Fanon Wiki

I am the recently appointed admin on batman fanon wiki and there are no users contributing to the wiki. We have 66 articles and 7 stubs and need more users doing things to the wiki, as the last user (apart from myself) contribruted on July 30, 2011.

If you're asking for design help (skin, logo, main page), you'll need to put these uncategorized pages into at least one appropriate category in order to meet the best practices criteria. Senatry wiki

Dear content wizards,

I would love to have some help with the Senatry wiki . The main page isn't that superb and my knowledge of CSS is fairly limited as well that i would yust love some input.

I do qualify for the request, as i am admin/ bureaucrat there, the wiki has been lifted up from 57 to 148 pages by me, no bad language, no stubs, welcome message is set to sysop (me) and i have been actively contributing to this wiki in the last week.

It would be awesome if it would attract more visitors. Swords and Potions wiki, which i also uplifted (and am admin/ bureacrat at), got from 4.5K to 230K views/day in 75 days, i doubt to be able to match that kind of growth here, but maybe a little help from your side will do a magical trick here.

Ar tonelico Wiki

Good evening. I'm the current Administrator of the Ar tonelico Wiki, and I'm currently I'm need of help for the design and content.

I've done my best by creating a large number of pages and filling them with all the content I could during the course of this year, however, I'm afraid that it's more work than a single person can handle. Likewise, I'd like to get a new background image, since I've gotten complaints about the current one being somewhat distracting.

I think the wiki qualifies for the request, since the stubs don't reach beyond 1/5 of the total content, there are more than 50 pages that can't be categorized as stubs, there's no bad language or profanities, all of the content pages have been categorized, the welcome message is signed by me, and I'm constantly making new updates.

Halloween wikia

Hi. We're doing our seasonal improvements on the Halloween wikia. We just turned on the achievement badges, but they don't really match the overall theme. Simon Peter Hughes and I (the 2 active admins on the site) agreed to ask for help customizing the badges.[1] Would you help? I think we meet most of the criteria.

• Two admins have been active in the past 7 days.
• Over 70 pages.
• Stub articles don't quite meet the criteria. At the moment there are 14, but we'll fix that in the next day or so.
• I think all pages are categorized. A few show up on the Special:UncategorizedPages, but I think that's a cache issue, because when I checked, those pages were in categories.
• No major upheaval. Since this is a wiki about Halloween, this is a busy time. So probably an especially good time to look our best.
• I believe the standard welcome is in place, but I'll check.
• Simon's done a great job of monitoring for offensive, inappropriate or spammed content throughout the year, so I think it's in good shape.

If your wiki is at http://bleachover.wikia.com, then yes, having at least 50 pages is one of the criteria that must be met in order to be approved. JoePlay (talk) 19:09, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

If I understand correctly, you're wanting to transfer pages from one wiki to another. At the new wiki, I see that you've created all the pages by copy-pasting the page's content from the source wiki. That is not the proper way to transfer pages, because that method does not give attribution to the editors who actually created the articles, not to mention that it's in violation of the CC-BY-SA license that Wikia uses. In other words, when you look at a page's history on your new wiki, instead of seeing multiple edits by multiple users, you only see one edit by you. To properly transfer pages from one wiki to another, you'll want to use the Export and Import tools. For instructions, see this help page. JoePlay (talk) 20:02, October 14, 2011 (UTC)

Villains Wiki

I am an admin at Villains Wiki, which has grown quite large over my time there - however I feel it could do with some cleaning up as far as the Main Page goes, I've tried some improvements myself but I feel its not quite good enough: the community is still friendly and stable enough despite some problems in the past (as all large wikis have, part of the job really) - I personally feel by having our wiki be more attractive it may improve the way contributors see the wiki and (of course) encourage new and helpful contributors to help make the wiki bigger Queen Misery 13:49, September 25, 2011 (UTC)

Minecraft Wiki

Hi there, I'm one of two administrators on the Minecraft Wiki. We get about 20,000 views a day but barely any people who visit are editors. We are in desperate need of more editors. The badly designed main page and popular pages are the key to people not editing there. We meet all the criteria, and stubs make up 19.6% of our articles. Please consider.

Hi Head of Ravenclaw. To meet the criteria, the wiki needs to have no uncategorized pages, which can be found at Special:UncategorizedPages. The wiki also needs to have its stubs (short pages, which can be found at Special:ShortPages) be less than 1/5th (20%) of total pages. A stub is generally a page that's less than 200 bytes. Your wiki has 432 pages, so the amount of stub pages should be less than 86. Once those two things have been taken care of, please come back and make a new reply here, and I'll be glad to add the wiki to the approved list. JoePlay (talk) 18:11, September 30, 2011 (UTC)

Under stubs, there is lots of pages that are way over 200 bytes. Soome are like 3,434 bytes but they are still stubs. Should I still try and expand them? Head of Ravenclaw (Talk | Contribs) 00:27, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

Ideally, any incomplete page should be expanded, but for the purpose of meeting the criteria for help, just focus on getting the number of 200-byte (and under) short pages to 86 or less. JoePlay (talk) 16:55, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Hi all i just made my first wiki and i wanted to know if i could use some help?

I dont really know alot about wiki's but im trying to make my wiki the best i can.

The wiki is about zelda glitches and it will tell about the game etc.
