How to Program Wiki

Hello Community Development Team. I'm Codyn329, an administrator at How to Program Wiki. I'm interested in receiving help with content creation and/or organization. We have around 57 pages, and although I've built very strong reference pages that I think should help users. I need help writing tutorials, and expanding them a bit more. It's hard for me because doing it alone, wouldn't make much progress. I, fortunately, know users who could help, and so I asked them, but unfortunately all of them are busy. I already know how to use HTML, CSS, and MediaWiki and Wiki related subjects. In fact, I've been practicing HTML for pretty much 19 months, MediaWiki for 19 months, and CSS for about 7 months. For the Wiki, I want to aim to teach these languages to other users and help out.

• HTML DOM
• MediaWiki and Wikia Markup
• PHP
• Python
• API
• Ruby
• XML and other Sub languages

Unfortunately, I don't know all of these subjects, and I still want to find users who do know these and create a huge community. Could you help in producing more traffic, in content creation and improvement, and also getting the users to stay?

Hi Codyn. The wiki's organization is in good shape and that main page looks great! Besides wiki markup, which the wiki has covered quite well, the ComDev team doesn't have enough (or in some cases, any) knowledge on the other topics listed to be qualified to contribute tutorials and such. To help get inspiration for writing and structuring tutorials, I'd suggest looking at w3schools.com, which you're likely already familiar with. La-Mulana Remake Wiki

Hello. I'm requesting community development help for the main page and/or style of the La-Mulana Remake Wiki. This is a wiki dedicated to a series of La-Mulana video games, particularly the newer remake versions.

I'm the founder and admin of the wiki, and the wiki has a lot of content as well as recent activity caused by yet another release of the game on Steam. The wiki could use help engaging new viewers, though, and I have yet to find another contributor who visits regularly enough to be another administrator.

Payphone Wiki

Please enable maps on the payphone wiki. Maps is a root of the wiki, pinpointing location. I've completed the category infrastructure of ZIP codes, area codes and cities, states. What is this page about?

I have recently expanded the scope from a collection of payphone locations to a comprehensive Reverse Telephone Directory wiki. It's currently as originally planned but just in its infancy a WIKI database with over 200 ARTICLE entries - a collection of payphones indexed by telephone number. When maps is enabled and the ZIP codes, Area codes and cities, states categories are completed, then I'll begin converting records from http://payphone-project.com/numbers/ into articles on the wiki.

Mortal Kombat Wiki

Hello, I am requesting a Wiki logo & headers.

I would like the logo to look similar lik this:

Hi Ray. In order to meet the best practices criteria linked at the top of the page, there are two things on the wiki that need to be addressed. First, these few uncategorized pages need to be categorized. Second, the amount of "stubs" (short pages that are less than 200 bytes) can be no more than 20% of total pages. The wiki has 50 pages, so the number of stubs must be 10 or less. Once those things have been dealt with, reply here to let me know, and I'll be happy to add the wiki to the approved list. Divergent Wiki

Hello Community Development Team. I'm requesting for a spruce up of Divergent Wiki's Main Page. I'm one of the admins of the wiki and another admin knows of my desire for a revamp of the page. The Wikia focues on the Divergent series by Veronica Roth as well as the upcoming movie. I was hoping that the Content Portal can be revamped, as well as adding the movie banner or image into it. Overall, the main page needs a better design to invite more readers.

Glee Wiki

Hello, we were wondering if we could have a new skin for the Glee Wiki. We were promised a skin 1 year ago, but we never received that, and with the new season right around the corner, it would be nice if we recieved help from the staff to give the wiki a new look (background and colour scheme). 

EDIT: I was thinking a main light blue background with yellow buttons sort of like this. For the backgrounds, in the past we've used character promo pictures, and the character pictures for this upcoming season were released not too long ago, so it'd be great if you could encorporate that into the new skin (we'd love it if it looked a little different from the skin we currently have).

Legends of Markoth Wiki

Im not 100% on how this process works, but I guess im looking to add a few more features and make our wiki look a little better.

Things such as a hit counter, a forum or discussion page, a better front page setup with some less clunky ways of listing information, and a way to find things easier for someone not sure whats out there.

Hi Sledgemaster. To enable the more user-friendly forum, go to Special:WikiFeatures, which you can access at any time from the admin dashboard. Find the Forum feature and click the button on the right to change the status from disabled to enabled.

Camp Half-Blood Wiki Background

As we do every year, we update our background with the book covers of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Heroes of Olympus series. This year will be the release of the fourth HoO book, The House of Hades so we would like to add that cover to the background. This image would go under the current covers on the left; and this image goes under the current covers on the right. Finally, we have been trying to give the site a more orange/purple color tone as those are the color themes of the two series. If you could provide two versions of the background for us to pick, one with the current blue background and another with the left side purple and the right side orange, we would appreciate it. Fanonlords Wiki

Hello, I'm an admin on Fanonlords Wiki and I'd like to request a new home page (and probably a logo) for the wiki. We met the criteria and all our pages are over 300 bytes, our community has been active since 2011. Our wiki is a fanon/fan-fiction and video game fanon site and our wiki is a stable, friendly environment.

I just checked Fanonlords Wiki, and while you were an admin at the time you made this request, I see that you are currently not an admin. So due to not being an admin as well as the reason for that being in violation of the best practices item that says "The wiki should not be in the middle of choosing new admins, or any other upheavals. It should be a stable, friendly place.", I cannot approve this request.
