Even the Russian wiki links to English correctly: check it out yourself! But on the English wiki, any ru: link leaves a redlink on the mainpage no matter what we put in its place. I understand. I knew the server interpreted it as English. I had in mind sites like w:c:docteurwho, which is the French Doctor Who wiki (with no URL marker). I've linked all the ones except zh-classical.wolfenstein. The interwiki prefix is appearing as "zh-class" which I think is incorrect, it should be "zh-classical" (as in [[zh-classical:<pagename>]]). Could you please send staff a message about that via Special:Contact? I don't have the ability to correct that setting I'm afraid. That was mainly what I was worried about. I have already spoken with staff (specifically, User:DaNASCAT) and we concluded it was a bug. Though they're aware, I suppose nothing has been done about that, though he correctly changed the link on my wikis. Whatever, nobody uses the zh-classical wiki anyway. Let it be.

You're already linked to the English wiki! Have a look at the bottom of the page on the English site. There is a section titled "Languages" just above Wikia's ads. The link "Cymraeg" goes to your site. For more information, take a look at Help:Interlanguage links.
Regarding a list of all languages, there are only three that are linked together, it seems: French, English, and Welsh. I may take a look later and find if there are any more. (Note: I'm not an admin, I just like to help people.) Elecbullet (talk) 21:03, November 6, 2012 (UTC)

That will be good. Thank you. While I'm at it, I think it would be really useful if Template:InterwikiLink contained an unobtrusive, clickable link to the sites in question. (If a non-admin such as I clicks the "link wikis" we get an error)

I am not a Community Central administrator but I help a lot of wikis get interlanguage linked so I am able to contribute.
Sometimes I will have 20 wikis linked together at one time (see User:Elecbullet/Interlanguage) and invariably when I do that, if I try to add the links immediately, a minority will fail to work. Usually (I don't know why) the foreign-language wikis will link correctly but the English wiki will have redlinks.
Almost always, waiting 24 hours or so will spontaneously fix the problem. The Gallowmere wiki's links have already begun to work and are properly set up, so if the CC admins could be aware of this quirk of the language-link system it could be better for all, and we could avoid needless Special:Contacts. Is there anything someone can do about this?

I am not a Community Central admin, but I can tell you that this page is not for creating wikis. This page is for linking together already-created wikis, which is necessarily a separate process.
To create these wikis, have a (preferably) Malaysian-speaking or Portuguese-speaking user create a wiki at http://www.wikia.com/Special:CreateNewWiki. It's easy and free. No connection to the English wiki is needed just yet, so you can use any URL you like; the following URLS are available:
  • pt.ronriseofkings.wikia.com
  • pt.riseofkings.wikia.com
  • ms.ronriseofkings.wikia.com
  • ms.riseofkings.wikia.com
After it's created, though, you should return and use Template:InterwikiLink to request the link be made. Elecbullet (talk) 18:41, November 22, 2012 (UTC)

Wanderer23, in the future you should make it more obvious when you add more requests onto an existing request, and also note that they're two-way (de-to-es also does es-to-de) so half of your links are redundant. As such, the following are the only necessary links:

Elec, before I subject myself to interlinking 100 requests, could you please contact Staff and see if they have a way of doing it that doesn't involve an admin doing each link manually? When I post these great long requests I do feel bad that I'm probably putting you through much trouble (even though having never done it myself I do not know how much trouble exactly). I've written a script for large requests that we can use from now on. Instead of having to put each combination in a template, the script takes just the domains (eg. wiki, es.wiki, de.wiki) and links each one to all the others. I linked together pt-br.teletraan, da.transformers, de.transformers, es.transformers, fi.transformers, hu.transformers, id.transformers, ja.transformers, nl.transformers, zh-tw.transformers, it.transformers, fr.transformers, pl.transformers, pt.transformers, ru.transformers, sv.transformers, tr.transformers, and transformers (153 links). According to the information I have Elec, it should be working fine at Transformers. I'll do some tests myself to double check, but the tools I have say it should be working.

I will note that I was responded to for my staff contact; they said that they enjoyed the idea of an official multiple-link system and passed it on for possible implementation.
