Community Central:Adoption requests

This page is where you can request administrator and/or bureaucrat rights on communities without an active admin and/or bureaucrat team. Before you post your request, please make sure you are active on the wiki and that you meet the guidelines listed below.

Following a successful adoption, you will receive administrator rights for 30 days. After this period, please reapply for permanent administrator and bureaucrat user rights with the "extend permissions" forum. A Wiki Representative will review your request, which will be determined based on activity and rights usage.

Please allow up to one week (7 business days) for a response to your adoption request. Requests are generally — but not always — reviewed in the order they were received.

We look forward to having you adopt one of our communities!

Guidelines

You can adopt a wiki if...

The admins/bureaucrats have been inactive (not editing or engaging with the wiki) for at least 60 days. You haven't gained rights or created another wiki in the past 60 days. You are not blocked in another Fandom wiki. You are contributing to the wiki regularly, and your interest in it is both current and active. This includes: Editing content pages on the wiki each day for at least a consecutive week prior to the time that your application is submitted. (Editing images, categories, or Discussion posts may not count, as we need to see that you have some command of the subject of the wiki.) You have created at least one new page in the main namespace (the more the better). Your edits are in good faith, and using the correct language for the wiki (i.e.: English for English wikis). You make an effort to talk to other users, such as leaving friendly and encouraging messages on user talk pages and responding to questions on article talk pages, forums, or blogs. You keep the wiki looking well-tended and up to date -- updating news sections, add new pictures and videos related to the topic, etc. The wiki is not considered as a duplicate (a wiki about the exact same topic already covered by another, usually larger and more active wiki).

You cannot adopt a wiki if...

There are admins actively editing the wiki. You became an admin or created a new wiki in the past 60 days. You are blocked in another Fandom wiki. You haven't been contributing to the wiki's content pages for at least a consecutive week. The community is considered as a duplicate of a larger and more active wiki. The wiki is not eligible for adoption for another reason. This includes, but is not limited to: Fandom-branded wikis (such as Community Central, SOAP Wiki, etc.) Personal or sandbox wikis. Wikis with a topic that is exceedingly obscure, and page view statistics suggest a very small audience. As explained in our Community Creation Policy, we may even fully close such wikis.

Other cases and notes

Before you submit a request If the wiki has a Wiki Representative, you should contact them regarding elevated rights instead of proceeding with an adoption request. (Wiki Reps are listed in the wiki's Special:Community page.) You may apply to adopt a wiki bearing the Official Wiki logo, but adoption of these wikis is done at Fandom's sole discretion and may not follow the rules set forth here. You are allowed to submit only one adoption request per 24 hour period. Please keep this in mind. Active communities If there are no admins, but other users are very active, you would need to reach out to the users (if it's one or two) or to the whole community with a public discussion to ask if they agree with your adoption. You should provide a link to this discussion in your request. The discussion needs to be in the wiki (a discussion or blog post, not Discord or another site). Polls are not accepted as a way of voting. Users must have at least one week to respond. Requests typically are successful if the response is positive, or if no one answers. If you're already an admin and want to request the bureaucrat role, all you need is approval from the other active admins. Existing admin/bureaucrat rights may only be directly removed if the users have been inactive for more than one year. Blocks If you are blocked in another wiki, you could try to appeal and have the block lifted to be able to request an adoption. However, if you think the block is completely unfair (such as in cases of abuse of admin rights), you could mention this in your request. We also recommend checking how blocks should be appealed for advice. Applying for permanent rights After applying for temporary adoption, users may apply for permanent administrator and bureaucrat rights here. For the next 30 days, please make sure you are consistently active and appropriately using your new user rights. Failure to do so will result in your request for permanent rights to be declined. The 60 day limit for adoptions only applies to your initial temporary adoption. The clock will not reset when you receive permanent rights.

Strawberry Panic Wiki (declined)

Hi, I would like to have admin rights for Strawberry Panic Wiki because I am a fan of this animated series. There haven't been any recent significant changes except those that I made before I made this account. Plus I saw some of the pictures, only two were actually included in this anime. I also own both the fictional and animated versions of Strawberry Panic.

Bureaucrat Rights on custom HF Wiki (declined)

Hi. I'd just like to say that I have found this wiki was inactive, and I thought I could link it with another wiki I edit. I've got some ideas to add to it. [Custom HF Wiki] is here. I've got some members who are looking for a wiki to edit with Fanon info, but I'd like to set up a new theme and a logo beforehand. die2nite adoption (approved)

Hi Wikia Team,
this is AshleyWilliams of the die2nite wiki asking about wiki adoption. When I search for administrators for the die2nite wiki I find 'No results'. Beside the administrators search filter (a tick box on the same page) I can see '1 users' but I am not given a name for this user.

Does the die2nite wiki have no administrator or an administrator that is not active?
If so then I would like to make this may application for the adoption of the die2nite wiki.

One or more reasons why you want to adopt that wiki: Because we need an administrator.
We have had users creating new pages using bad language and we have had no administrators available to report this too. Angela Beesley your co-founder was nice enough to help remove this page (20/12/10).

Because I am a suitable candidate.
I have been an administrator/founder to two forums for the travian browser based game as well as a contributor to Wikipedia and other community groups. I can adapt to using any interface.

For the record, there is an admin, the reason they weren't showing up was because of the dropdown menu underneath all of the check boxes, the one that says "contributed," that had to be changed to all users. The admin only has 3 edits, last was made November 3rd 2010, and the last visit was the 10th. So, you would still have just a few days to go. EDIT: I also see that of the three edits, only one had content added to the page, which is the main page, the other two edits were simply creating a new page. Tehkapi 10:03, January 1, 2011 (UTC)

Bully Wiki Adoption Request (declined)

I kindly request to adopt Bully Wiki and become a bureaucrat of it as it is a low activity wiki. I made a few edits in it, I am a fan of the videogame, I will continue to edit it and make it better than now. I even had something to edit on the wiki that was missing but the admin is protecting the page, I told him but he refused. I think I can make the wiki much better...please I would like to become a bureaucrat/admin of the wiki. The admin refuses also to add more admins to it, but I think that affects the wiki because there are only like 4 admins, 1 that always active, 2 sometimes make edits and 1 thats inactive. Din's Curse (declined)

I would like access to the Din's Curse wiki. Since creation, little work has been done on it and would like to give it a makeover so the community can start working on it. Sailor Moon Wiki (approved)

Hi! I would like to adopt the Sailor Moon Wiki. I've looked but there is no aparent admin of what I've seen. Although there is user activty the're mostly from newer users or Wikia Contributors. Loveline

I would like to adopt the Loveline wiki (loveline.wikia.com) and become its admin. The original admin made two edits, then vanished 3 months ago and has not been reachable. I am a full-time fan of Loveline (a radio program) and have already created more or less all the articles in this wiki, save its main page. I plan to invite other fans to join in building this wiki, and pledge to be a helpful and fair admin during its construction.

I know, and I am still interested. I must tell you that I have been nervous about spending too much effort editing because I did not want to draw too much attention to it before I gain adminship. The reason is the sub-culture around this show is renowned for it's connection to trolling. People even troll the show itself by prank calling. I am concerned that if I take it mainstream (by advertising it on the show's main social media channels) it will be obliterated in a matter of days with junk posting unless there is someone holding the reins. Naruto OC Wiki (approved)

I would like to adopt the The Naruto Originals Wikia and become the administrator. It seems that the site has been 'abandoned', as the pages are not being deleted on the creators' requests, there is a bit of a user riot going on with users messing around with others' articles and such. I believe that I am the most active member on there. I have created several pages to help the users around the wiki, and the users there seem to know pretty well who to ask for help (which has happened a few times.) I am devoted to helping newbies, editing and cleaning up articles, correcting spellings (some users tend to like txt tlk), grammar, etc. The original administrator/ modernator, who I believe was Sannse, who made 1 edit and does not seem to be ever active or of any assistance; no news or featured articles have ever appeared on the frontpage, and I have been using the Naruto OC Wiki for about a year now. I do believe that I can do well managing the wiki. I have also made several moves to bring new people (such as friends from DeviantArt) to the wiki, which I believe was succesfull as not long after we had a small flood of new pages and users. I would be more than happy to take care of the wiki, and contribute with its community.

Hi, I would like to adopt Encyclopedia Blackaddica (http://blackadder.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page) and become it's admin. As there hasn't been anyone editing on here for a while, apart from me, and I feel I could tidy the wiki up. I've made many edits, uploaded some pictures and am in the procces of creating some new pages. I am a true fan of Blackadder, and would be commited to making the wiki beter, as with teh other wikis i am on. I'm also an Admin on the Dad's Army wiki, so have some experience with the tools. City of Wonder Adoption Request (approved)

Hello there, This particular City of Wonder Wiki is fairly inactive in that the Administrator/Bureaucrat (there's only one) has been inactive for over 100 days. There are a few folks that are attempting to add updates, and I've been the main one spearheading this effort.

The original creator locked down several of the pages, and after becoming somewhat frustrated with being unable to make changes/updates, decided to create a new wiki on the same facebook game. Because most folks who search for the game wiki are being directed to this wiki, we've found that it might be more productive, and eliminate the repeatitive work by merging both wiki's. I have not founded, adopted or been given admin access on any other wiki in the last 60 days, and I've never been blocked on any other Wikia project. I am currently the bureaucrat for the Mobsters2 Wiki and City of Wonder Online Wiki (links provided for your review). By your review, I am confident you will find that I've met the requirements to assume bureaucrat status for this wiki and am hereby requesting you remove the user: CityOfWonderWiki as bureaucrat for this wiki and assign me the position of bureaucrat. Once this occurs, I will merge the two City of Wonder wiki's and after completion, will request that the second wiki namespace be deleted (since it won't be needed and will basically be a duplicate).

There are administrators who have the ability to delete pages, protect pages, block users, and what not, and then there are bureaucrats who have the ability to give other user's admin and bureaucrat rights. Hi, I'm Joshua and I'd like to become an Admin on the Sonic Heroes Wiki. Brandondorf9999 is the Breucreat on the site currently however he has not made any edits since May 5, 2010. I forget exactly when I joined the wikia but I think it was sometime around December 25 - January 1. Even though that means that I've barely been on this wiki but it also means that in the short amount of time that I've been on, I've made more edits (67) then he has (58). I also created a page by mistake and I'd delete it however since I don't have admin functions, I have to rely on him and it doesn't seem like he'll be doing it any time soon... I've already made a template called the TeamInfobox so I'm sure I could make a great admin adition to the wiki. Even if it's not the full admin/breucreat funtions, I'd still be fine with that. Game Ideas Wiki (approved)

Hey. Our wiki's creator Multi128 hasn't been active since May. As such, there are no active bureaucrats or admins. I am, quite obviously, making a request for one of the users to be granted the rights of an admin and bureaucrat, effectively adopting the wiki. The best candidate for the job is a user named SaurianJared. He does everything as specified to be a good fit for the job as stated at the top of this page. He stays connected with the users, has over 300 edits and has made many good pages for the wiki. We would be grateful for the admin. On behalf of the Game Ideas Wiki, Geniusguy445.

Actually, despite Multi128 not being active since May, some of his game ideas he had were never exactly touched. Some of the articles like Eon and Banjo-Kazooie 4 were made by him, but he's been inactive... Therefore, I took the liberty of remaking his articles myself to give them proper summaries and a good description of things in those game ideas. After that, I went and made my own game ideas, on which a fellow user and friend of mine namedBeecanoe. Nearly he and I share a great interest of ideas despite the fact that he is more of a Nintendo-Sega-esque fan and I usually side with companies such as Capcom and Arc System Works. Along with Geniusguy445, the three of us can easily accomplish simply the simplest of tasks and are well aware of what needs to be finished. Braid Wiki (approved)

Hi. I had a look at the Braid Wiki a few months ago, and saw that it was extremely undeveloped. I didn't edit anything, but left a comment on the Talk Page of the only contributor I could find, informing about how personal, or "non-neutral" content on one of the pages was. They didn't reply, so I assume that the account isn't used anymore.

Anyway, I came back recently to the Wiki and saw absolutely no changes. I had now actually finished the game, so I thought that I would be able to give quite a good amount of information. I revamped one of the two pages on the Wiki, and am planning to do a lot more. But, I thought, since it seems that the original admin is inactive, and nobody else seems to acknowledge its existence, I could adopt it, and make it a lot better than it is.

Even if my request is refused, I will continue to contribute to this wiki. If wikis were villages, this one would be a ghost town.

I do just want to point out, though, that, as I've been told, there have been a few issues in the past, Slipknot, where you apparently used content from other wikis without properly attributing it and that caused some issues. At Jokes Wiki, there have been no other editors in a while. I recently surpassed the founder of the wiki's number of edits, with 76. I now have nearly 300. When I first started, the wiki I believe had 30 some pages, but now it almost has 200! I have been working tirelessly every week for the community to grow, but still no one has shown up. Terra Nova Wiki (approved)

Hello, I would like to adopt the Terra Nova Wiki, since it has been inactive since last August. I sent a mail to Wikia about one week ago to discuss the topic, since this wiki was created by Scarecroe, a user that works for Wikia. Merrystar told me that the most straightforward approach would be to leave him a message in his talk page, and he hasn't answered yet. She also told me that if he didn't answer I should make a request here, and that I would easily qualify to adopt the wiki through that page.

Anyway, I have created several articles, added images and edited over 100 times. I have also created templates for the characters and cast, and even redesigned the main page. One problem I have with this, is the skin and background. Samsonius, who created the Tron Wiki skin, the Inception Wiki skin, and the James Cameron's Avatar Wiki skin, among others, has already created an skin for the Terra Nova wiki. Unfortunately, I can't use it, and I really can't work with the templates and the main page if I don't see the colors in which I'm working on.

Suite Life Wiki adoption (approved)

I would like to adopt the Suite Life Wiki as an Administrator & Bureaucrat. I have contacted the only admin who has logged in during the last month and received no reply, nor have any admins made any contributions in the 5 months (except for one post on my talk page). I'd like to keep the Wiki in good standing and provide a set of guidelines/policies that can keep it friendly for its target audience (which is a younger crowd).

I've never founded a Wiki on Wikia before (though I'm active on a number of them), and definitely have not been blocked (or even warned) on any Wikia projects.

I've edited the Wiki numerous times and am adding new stuff all the time. The article quality has fallen a bit since the inactivity of the admins and I'd like to bring it back to a reasonable quality. As for adding articles, I've added a few, mostly redirects and pages that should exist, but just haven't been created by a member of the community yet.

It's worth noting that my activity in the community appears rather low as many of the users there are simply browsers. There is no forum set up and many of the article comments are either vandalism or nonsense arguments that need no reply. I've come across as sarcastic in my edit summaries more than once, and I realize that; I know that's not very becoming of me, and won't happen again.

And lastly, I'm doing my best to keep the Wiki up-to-date. With the Suite Life movie on its way and the last season just finishing up, I want to keep this Wiki in good standing for prospective users and contributors alike.

Doctor Who wikia (declined)

Hello there, i would like to become an admin for the Doctor Who wikia. I have had plenty of experience on the wikia (8052 edits at this point) which has included the making of hundreds of pages, categories etc.

There are only two admins currently working on the wikia with only one of them currently engaged in the day-to-day workings of the wikia. If i were to become an admin i would help out in the day-to-day workings of the wikia and try to curb the recently growing trend in vandalism that has been occuring on the wikia.

As you may not know, the amount of Doctor Who related material being released every month is excessive to say the least. This brings problems of its own as there is hundreds of new pages and information to be added to the wikia every month and due to the high amount of material Doctor Who is a popular subject which increases the likelihood of vandalls accessing the wikia.

I notice a Wiki for which the bureaucrat frequently asks my assistance with regards to formatting has not been edited since October 11th of last year. Hot Fuzz Wiki (approved)

Hello. I'd like to adopt the Hot Fuzz Wiki. I'm a big fan of the film, and when I saw its wiki in such a sad state of affairs, I was very disheartened.

There are no editors on the wiki, and there are only three sysops (all three are also bureacrats) on the wiki. None of the sysops have been active for over a year, they have also proven to be horrible at editing, such as removing good edits and replacing them with untrue or false edits and the like. One sysop has even posted "F*** YOU" on his user page (I checked the history and it was him).

I've edited on the wiki, fixed errors and added character infoboxes. I've added pages for characters that were not on the wiki, and created categories so it's easier to find these characters.

Finally, I would try to make contact with other users, but there are none. I did talk with another user, but he was there because I asked him for help.

All in all, this wiki is in dire need of repair, and, as a fan and good editor, I feel that I should be the one to do it. Thank you. -xHobbes (Talk) 21:18, January 27, 2011 (UTC)

My username is Duke Vic of Aman'Lu, I've always had an interest in Dungeon Siege and it's spin offs. That's the reason why I've joined dungeonsiege.wikia.com last october I think. However after looking around for a bit of help, there wasn't much going on... actually it's a bit of a ghost town. And I really want to help out making it a decent wikia and possibly making a community, since the big community fell apart after ZoneMatch was taken down for Dungeon Siege. To reach that goal, there have to be admins around, though no-one seems active, that's why I write you this request for adminship of this site. I know I haven't made that much edits yet (about 40 and 2 topics written on my own), though I had a busy college life the past months. Now as things are settling down, I plan on adding more knowledge of Dungeon Siege to the wiki, and spending more time on it.

I need some help, the w:c:powerlisting has fallen victim to vandalism. I corrected the main page but there are still some problems with image history and blocking. Hi, I'm requesting to be made the admin of the Pocket Legends wiki (http://pocketlegends.wikia.com/) which was started nearly a year ago. The current admin hasn't made an edit for over six months and I have some ideas for how to improve the wiki. Seekers Wiki (approved)

Hello! My name is Salcie. I am an editor on the Warrior Cats (http://warriors.wikia.com/wiki/Warriors_Wiki) and Seekers Wiki (http://seekers.wikia.com/wiki/Seekers_Wiki). I started going to the Seekers Wiki a long time ago. Nothing was being edited. After a while, I decided to get an account. I have been the only one on the Wiki who has edited anything in a very long time. I have edited pages, uploaded pictures, and created articles. Guyver Wiki (approved)

I am requesting myself for administrative rights on Guyver Wiki. The wiki was made in 2009, and the only administrator has been inactive, or left, ever since it's creation. The wiki desperately needs someone who won't neglect it and can responsibly manage it. I'm also afraid that Guyver Wiki may fall to vandal attacks if no one is keeping a tight eye out. Submachine Wiki

I would like to adopt the Submachine wiki (submachine.wikia.com). I am the most active contributor, and though some people come and go, making A few edits, I think I deserve to be an admin. I have been sorting through and and adding files and pages to the candidates for deletion, though when an admin passes by, they only delete a few pages, and don't do the rest. I would very much liketo be admin, for the sake of removing unwanted photos and pages and being able to completely keep all aspects of the wiki cleaned up and up to date. Also, if a vandal arrives, I want to be able to block his ip if he keeps created problems and not have to wait for an admin to come online and do it. I have about 1900 edits on it. I would ask to be an admin on the only burocrats talk page, but he might not answer. There is one semi-active admin, but hes not a bureocrat, and the only burocrat only comes on every so often

Baten Kaitos Wiki Adoption Request

Hi, my name is Revitalizer and I'm interested in adopting Bureaucratic and Administrative rights to the Baten Kaitos Wiki. I have been a member there for approximately a week and made a variety of edits, primaily concerning the cleaning up of the categorical organization of the site, adding missing pages, and adding news related to the Wiki's subject matter to the home page. The Wiki's admin has been inactive since 2008 and the Wiki requires such abilities to improve organization further and delete repeat-pages. There are four other members with 50+ edits who I was hoping to reach out to with this blog post linked to from the front page of the Wiki about a week ago. However none of these users have logged in since December 23 or edited since December 10, with two of them having been inactive since last summer. I can understand and am okay if you would prefer to wait to until I hear from these users, but I am confident I can be agreeable with these members as Admin when or if they return if you choose to fulfill my request. Anyways, thank you for reading and considering my request, and I look forward to improving the Baten Kaitos Wiki with or without Administrative abilities.

True Blood/Bureaucrat Audition

Hello-

I am asking for the chance to be bureaucrat on the True Blood Wiki. I was admin up until our former bureaucrat put my admin status on "probation" for supposedly blocking someone (which I did deny even doing), however I have not seen our bureaucrat since last year and cannot contact him to lift it. I am currently the only active user with/who had Admin status. The probation has long since been up, and I cannot reach him, nor anyone to help. I think I would really be a great bureaucrat: I visit the page daily for the past 4-5 months. I edit and add to pages almost daily. I am the #1 ranked user on the Wiki. I currently oversee the main page, changing it weekly to keep it looking fresh. I add/update blogs weekly with True blood news or fun blogs I've created. I really love the Wiki, so I hope I get this chance; if not bureaucrat then I hope at least Admin again... as much as I edit and create, it would make things so much easier for me and the Wikia-Staff I have to constantly bug ;)

Happy Meal Wiki

Hi! Could I be given admin/bureaucrat rights on Happy Meal Wiki? It's basically just me and Alex Vining for the last few months, both separately trying to reboot the place. (All the anon edits are me, forgetting to log in.) I'd suggest he also get rights on the wiki, as he seems relatively competitent and eager.

I've been an admin on Wikipedia since 2003 or so, and I contribute to various wikis, including Muppet Wiki.

I'm Trevor (also known as Artieandtinaforeva) from the Glee Wiki. I have been asked to represent over 80+ daily members plus 300+ daily anons on the Glee Wiki. I am here to ask for a beaurocrat right (spelling on that). We need two more admins, and we want to hold "elections" to decide for them. Babyjabba(michelle) told me that we need to get a beaurocrat to do so. She said that I was the best fit to do so. There are no active beaurocrats right now on the Glee Wiki,suprisingly enough. Please consider helping this wiki out by picking me. I am going through and risking a lot to get this to happen, so please if you could consider me!
