Chowder Wiki (Accepted)

Hello again, it's me User:The Forgotten Beast. I am here because the Chowder Wiki's founder, User:Themaddog has apparently orphaned his wiki as he has not been active since May 23 2008, and because he was the only admin on the site to keep everything in order the wiki has been plagued by high amounts of vandalism and irresponsible users. My request is not to adopt it, what I really request is for a regular member of the wiki to get promoted to admin or rollback status, or for a staff member from central wikia to go to the wiki and block the harassing users, if my request is denied I have no objections.

Books Wiki (Declined)

Hi there!

I would like to adopt the Books Wiki, but there's only one problem: I haven't made any official edits there yet because I don't want to use the wiki like it was originally intended to be used for. I want to make a books hub wiki like the Entertainment Hub Wiki, and this is because the Entertainment Hub Wiki has next to nothing for books, except for the usual Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Chronicles of Narnia.

I tried to work on just a regular hub page here on the Central Wikia for books, but Merrystar redirected the page back to the Entertainment Wiki Hub and protected the page. Her reason for that is the it had only fanon links on it. I knew that. I had copied the fanon hub page as a starter guide to put links to book wikis, but I had to quit working on wikis for the day, and I couldn't finish my work.

I do highly doubt that I'll get accepted to adopt the Books Wiki and turn it into a hub, so if someone has suggestions and advice for me, I gladly accept it!

Hi Jonathan -- are you familiar with the Literature wiki? They have a lot of fantastic pages about books and authors and it would be a shame to try and duplicate all that hard work. EndWar wiki (Accepted)

[1]- contributions Hi! I think that the EndWar wiki DEFINITELY needs some sprucing up. It has been inactive since the game came out, and still has speculation from fans and reviewers if the game will include different things. I would like to help out and recruit more users. I would also help out sprucing up the main page, putting featured articles with bi-weekly changes and cool screenshots from the game. EndWar is big, and the current wiki just isn't up to the task of fully harnessing it's potential. I am also at work getting more users to come help. I apparently now have some adminship but I do not think I have bureaucrat.

w:c:Biology/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Biochemistry (Accepted)

Hello, this may seem like an odd request, and I'm not entirely sure if it goes here. I just found out that there are wikis for each of the above topics, however they all appear to be abandoned. I haven't made any edits to any of them, but I plan to over the next couple of days, and into the future, however I was wondering if these wikis could all be merged into one wiki concerned with all the natural sciences (biology, chemistry, and physics). This would allow for more ease of editing, and would most likely increase interest in editing, since a user could write articles for each topic in one place. As a molecular biophysics student going for a PhD, I have a lot of knowledge about all these topics, and think they should all be centralized under one wiki.

(I am also an administrator on the adult swim wiki, however I have pretty well abandoned it. Working on this new wiki would be part of my research career so to speak)

We had hoped the original requesters for these wikis would do enough to justify separate wikis, but if they are abandoned we are certainly willing to merge the biology topics. I feel the Chemistry wiki will probably still merit a separate wiki.
I suggest that you choose one of the wikis to work on and start to create a main page and/or category system that outlines what you have in mind. Once we've had a look at your ideas and have seen your dedication to the topic, then we can begin merging and redirecting the other wiki urls as needed. Looney Tunes Wiki (Declined)

I have been very interested in trying to find every Looney Tunes episode and put in on the Looney Tunes Wiki, but when I wanted to contact the person who runs the wiki, I found that the wiki was inactive! Arrested Development Wikia (Declined)

I'd like to adopt the Arrested Development Wikia if possible. I've created a great deal of new templates, and have reformatted some of the pages to be more aesthetically pleasing. In addition, I have changed the look of the main page as well. I've been attempting to gather other users as well by placing a welcome template on their talk page. Ship Simulator wiki (Withdrawn)

Hello, I was just calling in to say that I have been gone for many months and my newly started wiki has gone missed. Whats more I have forgotten my username and password for my ship sim wiki and cannot log in. In fact, I think my account was deactivated because it wasn't used, because I think my username was King Luxury and it says that username does not exist. The w:c:shipsimulator wiki exists, with 48 articles in it, and the User:King_Luxury account also exists and has a verified email address -- you should be able to request a new password for it; that account can then give admin rights to the GloatyGloat account if you prefer to use that one. Special requests for Wiki Adminship(Hong Kong Wikia/zh-hk)

Emm...I'm one sysop of The Encyclopedia of Virtual Communities in Hong Kong(EVCHK), it seems that I didn't meet the minimum requirements for asking Wiki Amidships. But I just wanna give attention to Hong Kong Wikia(HKW).

As growing articles in EVCHK, some articles seem more suitable for HKW. Moreover, these two Wikis can be regarded as sister projects for different focus, one from Network Communities, the other from Real World.

However, the founder of HKW has been inactive at least 30 days. For letting members of EVCHK easier handle two wikis, it needs base administration and contributions for HKW.

I think one possible solution is to let whole sysop group of EVCHK also be sysop of HKW, until the HKW community grows larger. However, other solution is also welcomed. --疾風綾希 17:07, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Villains Wiki (Accepted)

Well I have been on this wiki for about 1 to 1 and a half months. My friends and I have noticed that there is no one truly leading the wiki, and so I have come to the conclusion that I, myself, should attempt to become the new leader. With me the wiki will become a fountain of knowledge of villains. I, Thesecret1070 will make it a great place and do my best. If it is abandoned then I shall fix everything in it and delete bad articles that have nothing to do with villainy.

Hi. I think it's great that you are working so hard on this wiki. I see a few issues with your request. The first is that you have unwelcomed contributors on the site; a wiki admin is also responsible for welcoming new contributors and helping to make the wiki more of community. Could you please customize/create a welcome template and start doing welcomes? Secondly, although you say that you have talked it over with your friends, I can't see anywhere on the wiki where you did that, and I am unclear if your friends are the people on the wiki or not. Could you please post a message (on either a forum, or Talk:Main Page or someplace public) saying that you would like to adopt the wiki and asking other contributors to comment on your request? I have been a member of Inheriwiki for nearly a year, but have only been active in the past few months. The administrators have been inactive on Inheriwiki since June, so I decided that that I would try to adopt the wiki. The Administrater has been inactive for more than 60 days. I am the Co-administrater of the site and contribute a lot to the wiki. I have contributed alot to the Monopoly over a long period of time, and for the latter half of my involvement, the admin has left the wiki. I'd like to adopt http://soldierfront.wikia.com/wiki/Solder_Front_Wiki because I already have a website dedicated to Soldier Front, but it would be MUCH more efficient to use a wiki layout... Also, if I edit all these pages before I adopt the wiki, they may just be trashed by "vandals", my website is sfrontonline.com/forum and has 22,000 posts, and over 1000 members. Mariah Carey Wikia (Accepted)

Hello,

I'd like to take over the Mariah Carey wikia. It doesn't appear that its been looked after for quite a long time now, so I've spent the last few weeks tidying, re-organising and trying to get it better laid out before I start really filling it out with new information. I'm hoping to have increased the number of articles on the wikia to over 100 articles before too much longer.
