Is the wiki inactive? In a way, though there has been at least 5 people editing occasionally, me included. While Admin Alyssachanpc has been inactive for 60 days, plus more. It is like she disappeared from the Net altogether.
Are you eligible to adopt? Yes.
Are you contributing to the wiki's content? I have made quite a lot of edits, I am surprised at how long they take to do, but it can be fun. I also created new pages to keep up to date. There are still, of course, more pages that need to be updated. But getting the new things out of the way is best for now.
Are you building the community? I did post in the Gaiapediea forum, and I answered a number of questions on the Gaiapedia Answer wikia page, also noting that some were not well answered, so I rewrote them. And I also rephrased some of the questions.
I've left talk messages to two Editors, and both responded positively. We are trying to coordinate getting up Character profiles. And though it doesn't happen often, I would at least like to know what I can do for security against vandalism.

I think it would be worthwhile to discuss this with Dantman -- he's been a strong admin there in the past but he works on many different wikis so he may not have seen your attempts to bring the place back to life.  The wiki is active enough that I'd like to leave it to Dantman and/or other active members to decide on adminship -- can you please start a forum topic about electing new admins?  Thanks!  — Catherine@fandom (talk) 23:44, October 15, 2009 (UTC)
I did leave a comment to Dantman on October 8, 2009. But I will try the forum method and contacting him again. I did notice that he is indeed a strong Admin, as in keeping things in check, so I should learn from that. But if he is too busy with other wikis, then I would hope that I will get to adopt or have some rights, due to the other Admins being MIA. -- I noticed that his edits to Gaiapedia are spaced apart by weeks or months, I would assume this is because he works on other wikis. -- Even though we need more Editors, I would like to settle this matter before I start promoting Gaiapedia on Gaia. The Gaiapedia is active in a sense of editing, but I don't think it is active enough that people would discuss adminship. How many people would need to post in order for this to carry out? I have left a comment on Dantman's page: Talkpage: 74 Gaiapedia, and his Gaiapedia page Dantman Talkpage: Gaiapedia, and I created the forum topic Discuss Gaiapedia adminship. This was around 19:17, so after submitting my post on his page, he contacted me quickly. He said the Pedia is abandoned, admin wise, but I should still discuss adminship with others. Since starting the topic "Discuss Gaiapedia adminship" in the forum (9 Days Ago), there has been no discussion of Adminship. As I have said before, there are FEW Editors, but not enough to discuss this matter or (what seems like) take interests. And it seems we have been getting vandalized, we have no active Admins (as stated by Dantman), so we can not block people or lock pages. I really would like to have the rights to the wiki, and I would like to appoint the most active Editors if someone stepped up to it. -- Gaiapedia also has pages and other things that need to be deleted, and a template for new coding. And I am still interested in changing my current name to match my Gaia Online account.

QuakeWiki Request (Accepted)Edit

The last time an Admin was online was over a year ago. I'm planning on helping bring this Wiki back, possibly beyond it's previous popularity. I think it may need to be updated to the latest Wikia version (maybe not, I've never been an Admin before). I'll be working on recruiting a crack squad of Admins to help me out, too.

It's only bureaucrat and admin's last edit was a year ago as well as last log in. The wiki has got a good collection of article's already so it won't need much editing. Monster Hunter Frontier Online Wiki (Accepted) Edit

Hello, I'd like to request Bureaucrat status on mhfo.wikia.com. The current (and only) bureaucrat/sysop hasn't logged in since May. Since I began working on the site I've added aroung 30 or 40 articles, but I'm gearing up to add -many- more. I tried to get in contact with the current bureaucrat, but I haven't heard anything back.

  • Is the wiki inactive? Other than myself, it appears as though the last edit was in June, so I would say yes.
  • Are you eligible to adopt? Yes.
  • Are you contributing to the wiki's content? Yes. I probably have more edits than I should, but when I began work on the wiki it was practically empty, so there is a ton of work to do. I am working on a huge amount of translation from Japanese (with which I am only medicore), so I'm sure quite a few of those edits are fixes.
  • Are you building the community? Yes. I am active in the Monster Hunter community elsewhere on the web, but right now mhfo.wikia.com is barren, has very few users, and no community to speak of. The site needs a lot of tlc, but I believe it can be the best english language resource for MHFO on the web.

The Cleveland Show and Family Guy Wiki (Accepted)Edit

Any chance of greasing the skids for an adminship on The Cleveland Show Wiki? Grande13 is bucking for a much deserved position of Bureaucrat and I'm sitting by impotently as we had a serial vandal there today and am myself interested in being an admin. There are a lot of users on the wikis although people come and go in spurts so its tough to get people to respond besides the really active members that almost contribute on a daily/weekly basis. Elder Scrolls (Accepted)Edit

I would like to adopt the Elder Scrolls wiki again. The Elder Scrolls: The Infernal City is going to be released on Noverber 24, which is a little over a month from now. This means that there's is probably going to be more activity there, so an active administrator is needed.

I used to an bureaucrat for that wiki, but a "control freak" (his own words) administrator decided to strip my administrative rights away from me in order to assume power for himself. After the climax of the dispute, that administrator left in order to start a splinter wiki free from Wikia oversight. Now that administrator and his followers are gone, and they don't contribute to that wiki anymore.

Presently, I'm the only active, ongoing contributor to that wiki. The past dispute has been resolved, and I wish to restore the wiki to its active, newcomer-welcoming self. Once the new book is released, I'll create new articles for the wiki, and then have it spotlighted. Jrock Wiki (Accepted)Edit

I am interested in adopting the Jrock Wiki here --Jrock Wiki. It has been inactive for quite some time and I'm almost exclusively sure that the creator has abandoned it. I have created, deleted, and edited several articles on it and while I do have another wiki that could be seen as abandoned the truth is that I simply stopped work on it so that I could meet the time requirement of 60 days without being given access to a new wiki. I didn't abandon it but if I do get to be the Administrator of the Jrock Wiki then I will delete the other one that I have, Currently there are no other users on the wiki but I hope to bring in new people and build a community.

Pirates of the Caribbean (Accepted)Edit

The Pirates of the Caribbean wikia is pretty much dead as far as admin activity goes. There is an "active" admin listed on the administrators page, however, he/she hasn't edited in over a year. There is another admin that randomly seems to pop up ( very infrequent though ) and upon checking his/her patrol log, they haven't made any manual patrols in many months. The site is riddled with a lot of vandalism and spam pages, not to mention vandalism in articles. Element Wikia (Accepted) Edit

Hello Wikia. My name is Mr. Elements. I recently looked up this wikia. Seeing no one is making progress on this wiki, I would appreciate it if I was given adminship over the wiki. There has been no sustained editing, and the admin has been out since April 18th, 2008. I have not founded any wikis, and am not an admin on any wiki. I have uploaded pictures of the first "group" on the Periodic Table, if that counts as editing. I have not created a new page, but hopefully, in the near future, I will get on it. I have not run a wiki before, but I've seen how it's done, and can probably can keep things under control. I edit on two other wikis: Wookieepedia and Groovypedia, so I do know the works  of a wiki. Winniepedia (Accepted) Edit

  • Is the Wiki inactive? - Yes. It is officially listed as inactive and there is no moderator or admin activity. The Wiki still has the basic look on the mainpage of one that was just started, even though it's been around for over two years (one of the first things I intend to overhaul if made admin.)
  • Are you eligible to adopt? - Yes, this would be my first Wiki that I've had any admin privileges for and I certainly haven't been blocked anywhere.
  • Are you contributing to the Wiki's content? - I just started working on the Wiki's content around a week ago and I've already added a number of new pages and categories. In fact, I think I already may have more edits than anyone else.
  • Are you building the community? - Well, it's kind of hard when there is only one other active user at the moment, but I did talk with him on his talk page and compliment him on his recent work. I certainly do add new pictures. If made admin, I intend to try to start recruiting back some of the Wiki's past contributors and also start adding video and news content as the like, as well as look for new members.

The Shield Wiki (Accepted) Edit

Requesting adoption of The Shield Wiki...

  1. Only one editor, other than me, has edited an article in the last two months.
  2. I haven't adopted any other Wiki, although I've been a frequent contributor to the 24 Wiki for about a year.
  3. In two months, I've contributed more than 1,000 edits to the Wiki, a lot of them new pages.

Hi, it's looking good there! But the last edit by an admin was less than 60 days ago. I would suggest trying to contact that admin first, and then discussing this with Ggjk if the admin doesn't return. The Tribe Wiki (Declined)Edit

I would like to adopt The Tribe Wiki. The administrator hasn't been active for more than two years, and there are no active editors apart from a couple of minor edits now and then. I did some editing there before, but eventually gave up hope that it would ever be a proper wiki. The show is now airing once more on TV, which means that more users will eventually arrive. I just wanted to say that I am the best candidate for "adopting" the dragonquest wikia because there is nobody else making main edits, just talk page edits. I am made about 30 edits in the past few days because I want to make Dragon Quest wikia better. I have been on the Final Fantasy Wikia at one point but I never really took it seriously then but I learned how to do most of the editing techniques. I have made plenty of pages and many different redirects. I also had a short stint on the Mario Party wikia but thta didn't last long because I have little knowledge about Mario Party. Hello! I'm T-motion admin from Wowwiki-Hun.I would like to get the admin rights for Diablo Wiki HUN Here is the reasons:

1. Is the wiki inactive? - Yes. the wikia has only two users: Ba'al666 and Rmnono. Ba'al666 are do something in July, but Rmnono(admin) are since 1 year ar not coming up to care his wiki.

2. Are you eligible to adopt? - This part seems to be more difficult because I care a wiki page for almost 2 years: Wowwiki-HUN. Approximately 2 years ago, the same way I ask you to give admin rights for the neglected Wowwiki-HUN site. It was neglected, and no one managed it. That time was in ca.50 article. I found some friend , and started to "upgrade". Now we have 450 article.

If you already have a Wikia page, then why should another one? - Interested the page, I can also now well to edit Wikia, and is also there are many source , to fill up.

3. Are you contributing to the wiki's content? - I think, I answered this question.

4. Are you building the community? - Last week I get contact with hungarian diablo fans and they are like the idea. Once come out of Diablo 3, it will be required for this page.

Finally, I would add that I don't want to neglect the WoWWiki-HUN wikia page. I know all beginnings are difficult, the same was in my wikia page, but now we are donig well.

If you just click the new secton button on his/her talk page, if they have entered an email address, it will send the person an email to say the page has been edited, if they have it on their watchlist, though I think it maybe by default? Is the Special:Emailuser not working for you because you havnt entered a email in Special:Preferences? Animal Crossing Wiki  (Accepted)Edit

Hey wikia, got redirected here by Sarah (Wikia Staff) who might I say, emailed so soon it was scary :P Anyway, straight to business! I'm an active member of the Animal Crossing Wiki (animalcrossing.wikia.com/wiki/Animal_Crossing_Wiki) with the username 'MerrytonRyan' and we only have one active Admin on the wiki, who lacks bureacratic rights so cannot make me an admin. The only person with such rights has been inactive for the past couple of months and we have problems with spammers ruining pages and making faux articles which needed to be deleted. I seem to come across these users (both registered and IP) quite often, and when I revert changes they usually undo them to the spam, with some rude and insulting comments chucked in too. I'm currently leading a few projects (villagers, events, seasons, distributed items) and I jazz up the pages with images, while also editing the pages after some users to make them cleaner (sometimes thanking them in the summary for their contribution).

I would like to suggest making Dragonfree97 a bureaucrat, as he is one of the main users on this page. Is it possible to request bureacrat rights for myself? MachiPedia (Accepted)Edit

I'd like to make a new request to lead the MachiPedia. See, I see Potential in the Wikia, since Machinima is a world wide thing and many many gamers use it. I plan to turn it into something for gamers to post all things machinima. Shows they may have created using particular games, profiles on favorite characters from these machinima shows, gaming news etc.

I'd like to give this a shot as im sure after a few things have been done to it, it will be a community many people will end up using.

If you could accept this request, i'd be delighted. The Wikipedia has been inactive for several months (by the looks of it, years). I have a logo already made to go at the top, which I cannot add as the page is locked, so when I get this permission, I can add this. As you can see, already I am starting to work on this Wikia.

I'll just add this since it's kind of needed.

Nothing has gone on. Last time something has happened before my edits was in 2008.

Guildopedia (Accepted)Edit

This is a bit of an unusual request I'm afraid. I'm looking to adopt Guildopedia a Wikia based on the Guilds of the MMORPG Dofus. It's an odd request because although the Wikia is not inactive (Being mainly User generated content it's hard for it to really die out) but none of the current Sysops are active (The most recent Sysop to edit did so two months ago). To add to this there's been no edit by a bureaucrat for several years. As a current Sysop of the Guildopedia's sister Wikia on Dofus and as someone who does look over it, remove vandalism and other such edits, I think I'd be the best User for the job. If you don't have a specific wiki in mind, then I suggest you browse Wikia:Hubs to find topics you care about, or look at Category:Adopt a wiki to find one that needs an administrator. Ninja Gaiden Wiki (Accepted)Edit

I am requesting I be made an administrator/ bureaucrat of Ninja Gaiden wiki. I recently went over the wiki and was amazed at how underdeveloped it is. Many pages are a combination of subjects that could be an article on their own. There appears to be no activity at the moment and many of the users are small timers who make quick minor edits and have since rarely appeared again. The are about 122 pages on the wiki, though it's capable of possible 300 or higher, and a few of the pages are unnecessary or have the same info thus making excess pages. I have history with being an administrator/ bureaucrat as I adopted the Dead Space Wiki and monitor it on a daily basis. My capabilities for the ninja gaiden wiki are limited due to my status as a regular user and I hope by adjusting my status to administrator I can reorganize and bring the wiki to prominence as well as assign proper duties to those willing to commit to the wiki as �I have with my other wiki.--MasterM 21:12, November 6, 2009 (UTC)

I believe this wiki has great potental as a good resource for game homebrew and i'd love to take it forward. I'm having some problems on the Un-Mario Wiki, I went on to edit my own article, and a message came up and said I was blocked by a user named Tsepelcory. He's blocking most people on the wiki because they don't have a name that's a Mario related thing, but his isn't either. He has become a little too bossy on the wiki. Since Solar Dragon reported Tsepelcory to the Central Wikia, and took away his admin powers, there's no more admins on (as he was the last admin on the wiki), I would like to adopt the Un-Mario Wiki. Here's a message from Solar Dragon of a recommendation saying a I should adopt the wiki:

If I'm reading those correctly, then yes. I've been blocked previously on PvX for various small conflicts, but I'm not currently blocked.

There aren't any other users at the moment, but I'm trying to recruit friends. I also recently re-vamped the Main Page and have contacted TOR about a navigation fix.

I know it probably seems early in the process to be trying to adopt this wiki, but since there isn't much to be productive about on PvX anymore, I'm looking for another project that I find interesting - and what better than drinking games? Since there literally aren't any admins besides Wikia staff to go to, it would help to have someone on hand who can take care of business as needed.

I'm also throwing in a retirement clause. Once a more fitting candidate is found, I'll happily relinquish my mop-and-bucket duties unless the candidate personally requests that I keep the position until such a point that they feel it is no longer necessary. Dino Run Wikia (Accepted)Edit

I am sure that I meet the requirements on this wikia. I have 120+ Edits and have created over 25 Articles. I have left messages on every other user's page, and It was founded in August of 2008. The Founder hasn't even logged in who knows how long, and There are only a few other users, none of which edit extremely frequently. Is the wiki inactive? Yes. There was an admin request posted September and that was the last time I saw any admins post.

Are you eligible to adopt? Yes

Are you contributing to the wiki's content? I've edited a few pages and created redirects for a lot of pages.

Are you building the community? I've not yet, but I was just starting to, I got a message on my talk page from the current owner, linking me here.

I applied on the Wiki for adminship a couple of days ago here and finally got a response from Devilmanozzy. He gave me a positive comment on the admin application and even sent me a message on my talk page linking me here (as I stated in "Are you building the community?").
