History

Archangel shared a similar history to his Earth-616 counterpart up until he became the Horseman of Death and failed to "rebel" against his master. Archangel then continued Apoclaypse's mission to kill weaker mutants, to ensure only the strong survived. After several mutants showed up dead, X-Factor attempted to capture all known rogue mutants for their protection/determine if they were the killer. After a confrontation with the Marauders, Archangel reveled himself as the killer, and killed X-Factor, the other Horsemen of Apocalypse and other mutants . He returned to his base when Apocalypse returned, who began to chastise him for killing his elite mutants. Warren retorted that he was just completing Apocalyspe's mission and it was his job to decide who was strong or weak as Apocalypse's Angel of Death.[1]
