Ashleigh Penzler was a patient at Siamare Youth Care Facility alongside Rose Forrest.
History
Ashleigh Penzler was an arsonist whose father died. Her mother was also an arsonist and was imprisoned at Woodburne Penitentiary. She eventually burned down her house with her baby brother still inside, leading to her being sent to the all-girls Siamare Youth Care Facility. During her stay there, she became known as a bully to her fellow patients and was particularly harsh to Rhosyn Forrest and her friend Kimmy. In the three years following, Rhosyn received help from Dr. Warren Chritlow in learning how to contain her anger and violent tendencies into another personality known as Thorn, later renaming herself Rose Forrest. Despite Rose becoming more of a pacifist, Ashleigh continued to taunt her and attempted to undermine Rose's hopes of getting released. On one occasion, as Rose was talking about her success with Dr. Chritlow and the potentials in even getting famous, Ashleigh accused her of being a liar and stated that she'd be stuck in the facility forever. Kimmy retorted on Rose's behalf and, in the heat of the moment, brought up Ashleigh's traumatic childhood and her brother, causing her to storm out.
Later that night, Ashleigh decided to get revenge on Kimmy by destroying the fire alarm in her room and setting the place on fire. Rose eventually awoke to the place ablaze and escaped only to learn that Kimmy was still inside. Despite Kimmy escaping, Rose realised that it was Ashleigh and her suppressed violent personality, Thorn, took over. Thorn then brutally attacked Ashleigh, causing severe scarring on her face.[1]
