It would help make the list.
The page Categories(at the top&bottom of page) are dependent on the order listed on the 'edit page' Category listing. So, AWB would need to access the edit page, go to the Category listing(right sidebar) and reorder the list.
I never used a bot so how it is done, by me, would be manually.
Good luck with the reordering.
PS: Templated 'Article stubs' are going to be listed first, I believe. Depends on the order any templated categories are on the page. These templated cats do not get listed on the edit page. You're going to have to reorder the templates separately or remove the templates and add the category into the 'edit page' category listing.
Category:Administrators is first, I've made the alphabetical list of the categories. Do you know what to do now? Cheers.
Doing it manual, yes... https://community.fandom.com/wiki/File:Screenshot_(84).png Screenshot of a page being edited using source mode.
Lower right on screenshot note the single Category, hover the mouse over it(not the image but a real edit session) and it turns into a big 4 point arrow. Left Click(holding down the mouse button until cat move is done) the category line and move it up or down. With multiple cats it "re-orders" them.
Anybody want to tackle AWB method for him?
i don't see a way to do this without custom module or external processing tool. try to find plugin.
also, link to the page would be helpful, too.
Do it my way, it works.
RealKnockout, if I am understanding Jade Emperor's request correctly, they don't just want to have a list. They want to re-order the categories on every page so that they are in order on the page.
well, i have no idea why he wants to do that, but i guess he could just remove all categories with AWB from every page, then use the append feature like this:
[[Category:A]]
[[Category:B]]
[[Category:C]]
But it looks like it would be too much work.
Okay, thanks for your help!
