Glad it worked.
That regex can be used to search for other characters, or strings of characters. However, to search for a question mark, you'd need to replace the "ou"
in the Search regex with "\?"
, without the quotes.
Question marks have a special meaning in regular expressions. To search for any character with a special meaning, you need to "escape" it, which means putting a backslash in front of it. A list of other characters which need to be escaped can be found on this page in the "Metacharacters" portion of the table.
Special characters do not need to be escaped in the Replace portion, only in the Search.
I've put together regexes to search in the Japanese section and English sections. I only tested them very briefly in AWB's Regex Tester, so please let me know if you find any problems with them.
Japanese section:
(\{\{LyricsFAN\|)(.*?)ou.*?(?!\|)
English section:
(\{\{LyricsFAN\|(.*?\|){2})(.*?)ou.*?(?!\||\})
The same Replace regex you use for the Romanji section should work for the Japanese and English sections too.
I plan to write a detailed explanation of how those regexes work (similar to what I did here), but it may be Saturday or Sunday before I have time to do that. In the next day or two I'll also try to explain more clearly the two notes from my previous post.
