There's one thing that has always impressed me about WoWHead: their tool-tips. I had noticed the other day that on my home-wiki, we had the tool tip extension activated -, but when I went in to test it out, I found its parameters to be lacking in nearly every aspect. Not only is the extension only able to load up text chunks, with images/etc. being out of the question, but the text also loads up under the cursor, which slightly defeats the purpose of having a tool tip in the first place.
So I was wondering if anyone in this wonderful community would be able to help me out with customizing this extension for my wiki? Because here is what I'm looking for:
- The ability for tool-tips to at least be able to load up images, as well as accepting wiki-code. (Not sure if this is the case or not. I'll be playing around with this extension some more as I wait for a response.)
- Having a more pronounced border around the information loaded, which can easily be customized to fit in with the wiki background.
- Parameters that would determine whether the tool tips load up under or above the cursor. (I'm personally looking for above)
- I would like to have it where the tool-tip remains up, so long as the cursor is hovering over the original text, or within the respective tool-tip. Right now, even if the cursor goes into the tool-tip, the tool-tip will disappear again, making it unable to take advantage of links.
Any help really would be appreciated, as I feel this is an extension that can truly benefit my wiki if implemented properly and professionally. P.S. - I have sent this question to the Wikia Staff, as well. Please do not reply here just to tell me to do that, instead. It always seems like there's one person who makes the assumption that I haven't.
