This is probably a stupid question that I'm just missing the blindingly obvious answer to, but I'm trying to build a template that will automatically format a given external link and an internal wikilink into a specific format that looks something like this: Example Wikilink - [http://www.example.com view on YouTube] ; then, I would like the template to automatically populate a list on the second (wikilinked) page with a link back to the first page, in the same format above. Thus, when you visit the second page, you'd see a section there that contains a list that is automatically populated with [[Name Of Original Page]] - [http://www.example.com view on YouTube] . The automatic populating would only need to work one-way; not in reverse. I'm an admin on the Wikia in question, if there's anything I need to import in order to make this happen. Advice? I'm an experienced Wikipedian (en.wp admin, just barely shy of 20,000 edits) but I rarely mess with templates. Thanks! This is probably a stupid question that I'm just missing the blindingly obvious answer to, but I'm trying to build a template that will automatically format a given external link and an internal wikilink into a specific format that looks something like this: Example Wikilink - view on YouTube ; then, I would like the template to automatically populate a list on the second (wikilinked) page with a link back to the first page, in the same format above. Thus, when you visit the second page, you'd see a section there that contains a list that is automatically populated with Name Of Original Page - view on YouTube . Thanks! SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 10:03, December 1, 2014 (UTC)
