I haven't been able to use AWB all year. I have updated it and my computer. Trying to switch the preference settings to https:// doesn't help.
Is there an alternate botting application I can use?

This issue is only present on fandom sites, actually. I have tried my personal wikia, still located at wikia, and it logs in with no issues. however at the GTA Wiki, which was moved from wikia to fandom, both "wikia" and "fandom" do not work. How exactly should I update my log-in wikia settings for the bot?
AWB should be working fine on both. I'm running it on a Wikia site now (military).

Using what account? you're banned from WMF sites by Office and by extension, the AWB devs.
Just FYI oh mysterious Fandom user. Aside from the fact that my WMF ban has absolutely no merit and was done solely to silence a critic because I refused to follow my ban on EnWP that required them to violate their own policies to even get imposed, the AWB application is not supported by the WMF. The the Devs are volunteers and the code is maintained outside the WMF sites. Aside from using Phabricator to track their changes and maintaining their documentation on EnWP, it is a standalone app and therefore the AWB devs are not required to follow the ban. So unless the WMF has assumed control over Sourceforge and/or Git, then I am good to go! For what it's worth, even if they did support it, I could just fork the app and use it anyway since the code is opensource.

Running further tests, I have noticed that the bot is seemingly unable to log in at the gta wiki domain, no matter what I use (fandom.com or wikia.com). If I log into my personal wiki, which is still at wikia, it will work correctly. If I change the URL at the bottom right to gta.wikia.com, or gta.fandom.com, it will manage to log in but displays "these options are only available for approved bots", as if my bot isn't approved, even though it is and always has been. https://gta.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Contributions/MonkeyBot188
Perhaps my bot needs to be re-approved at GTA wiki?
That's possible if they require bots to be approved there.
More likely it's due to the move to Fandom. In the Options/preferences/Sites option you'll have to make sure it's set to Custom Wiki rather than Wikia.
Then add right URL in the space provided and it should work.
Nevermind, it's definitely something Wikia did when they moved GTA to fandom.
Ok I got it to work. Make sure you use custom like I said before. Make sure to change it from http to https and then in the space provided put: gta.fandom.com
Thanks so much! Got it to work. Thanks again :)
That's pretty much what the top note on Help:Using AutoWikiBrowser says, right?
Yeah, I hadn't realised it had to be https.
No problem, glad it's working for you now.
