Is there a way to embed a custom Google search on a page?
Either with an extension from w:c:dev or using <inputbox> or something else?

what the point? one can just type a word in the browser address bar - it will do search automatically via preferred search engine.
It's true, people know to use Google. I'm asking if the option is available to embed a search box in a wiki page.
The inputbox extension does not have this feature, and I'm not aware of any script on the Dev Wiki that does either.
I'm sure it's possible, as I've created YouTube search widgets to place on various wikis, but you would have to use JavaScript.
This Google article could provide you with a foundation for your widget: Google Custom Search Engines.
Thanks, Monochromatic Bunny. Where can I check out your YouTube widget?
Front page of w:c:youtube.
Much obliged 👍
I construct custom search URLs using PAGENAME, much less maintenance than IMDB/Wikipedia links where you have handle the vagaries of names.
