Usually every option or new thing is decided by the trend.
The only major advantage with kindle and other digital formats is that you can hold more books on one kindle than on your average bookshelf (yes, there are shelves that can hold hundreds of books but I don't think they can be stored in your laptop bag). A 800 page book is roughly 1mb in digital storage (don't know the exact size, but you can hold a lot of reading material for 500mb). Reading capability ,however, is easier and faster with a physical book and there is no problem of with power loss either.😉 Range of books is also limited on device, especially with editions. Overall digital books are useful for their large storage capacities and their little night lights for dark reading. Not for everything great about a physical book.
I having nothing against digital books in general, but I'm old fashioned and I prefer picking up a physical book and going through its pages any day.
Hello and welcome to Community Central. Community Central is a wiki hosted by Fandom. Each Fandom wiki has its own topic. The topic of Community Central is the creation, maintenance, and improvement of other Fandom wikis. This wiki, much less this specific discussion board, is not an appropriate venue for a generic discussion about ebooks v. books. I encourage you to explore the variety of book wikis Fandom has to offer and see if there may be a more appropriate community for this discussion.
