NightSpeakers wrote: Have you seen this brilliant blog on promoting your wiki on CC? It might give you a few tips on how to write it! I reccommend adding a working link to the wiki use [ ] tags around the URL or even use w:c:bigbangkpop to link there, a picture is always appreciated (something related to the band?) and perhaps adopt the wiki so you can improve protected pages/the theme of the wiki and other admin-only things.
Perhaps add in your blog why you know love the band as well but, really, the current blog is a very good start and invites people to come along and join the wiki. Hopefully one of the CC admins can give it a community highlight at some point (are they still doing those anymore?) so that more people can see it. Good luck with the blog!
Well, I already rewrote it. Do I need to add the members' profiles?
It's looking way better already! If you think that will help, go ahead and add it. It might be better to give a link to each member and perhaps a short sentence/few words. For example (obviously this is not your band):

That really isn't a good idea. You would be bothering people who might have no idea what your topic is or have no interest in it. It is best to stick to blogs.
really? just because one user like this one got pissed off at people advertising their wiki doesnt prove a statement rite away. u need more than 1 user who reacted in such a way to support ur claim that its bad to advertise wikis via message walls. i know that my boyfriend also did it once, so there
then how is that user not in trouble for doing so?
You don't "get in trouble", it's just common courtesy to not do that.
