Hello!
When I finished reading the blog post about Darwin, I noticed how text was bigger. After reading a bit, I later found out Darwin will permanently keep text at 14pt instead of 13pt.
Now, since Darwin is going to be used globally across Wikia when it comes out, I was wondering if it would be possible that in Darwin, there could be an option to adjust text size on a page.
What this would do is it would allow the reader of the page to adjust the text of a page from 14pt to 13pt, if they don't like 14pt. Thus, people who are fine with 14pt (and I believe that's most people) will see pages with 14pt text, while people who do not like this can see it with 13pt.
The box would be a drop down box, perhaps with a red outline so people could easily notice it, and would be placed next to the "Talk" button of mainspace pages (or maybe somewhere else). Users would be able to customize what text size they would see in their preferences, while unregistered users would have their selection of text size saved as a cookie (assuming it can be done).
I'm not sure what would be the equivalent of a cookie on mobile devices (or if an equivalent even exists). My original intention for the idea was that (if it was actually developed) it would be available globally across Darwin, however, it may fit better as something that can be turned on/off in Wiki Labs, or something similar.
That's my idea, wasn't sure where to post this, so I posted it in the forum. Something like this would please the people who like Wiki articles in their original text size of 13pt (like me).
