    Best UCP Editor ever

    September 16, 2020 by SapadorCastelo

The Real Source Editor! Not the Visual that is not so visual and is somewhat source all together and nothing at the same time. Enough! To enable the power of RSE On UCP wikis and completely disable the fake one, add ?action=submit at the end of the page/article URL, for example:Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and mor…

To find a problem with the custom CSS (or to tweak the default), I usually inspect the elements around the problem, and analyse their style rules.

For example, let's say that on AoE Wiki users find that the margin above H2 heading too short, they want even more space between the sections of articles. I go on their their custom CSS (MediaWiki:Common.css), and I find that they already have a rule to increase that margin:Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. Help.

    September 7, 2020 by Vortex3427

Hi, my name is Vortex! So I wrote a fanfiction on the Rainimator Fanfiction Wiki , and now I want to put it on my user page for the official Rainimator Wiki . But I want to always keep it up to date, so my question is - is there any way to write code that replicates the content on a FANDOM page or external link? Thanks!

Hi, My name is Julius and I am letting very of you know that I am working on a project wiki, I have developed an interest of WIngs of Fire years ago, and I want to share my knowledge with thousands and millions of readers, So did you? If you are interested, let's get started.

Our wiki name is referred to as The Wings of Fire Cmpedium Wiki, it is a wiki that I plan to go further than the first canon wiki, like their way they are wrong, but we did like to use this example to make a better wiki.

First, We are going to build the base and all the content first with and we make sure each page is modifying to make good quality, and discussion posts will be clearly organized by which topic you are interested in. We always take your suggestion and we…

My two cents on making a quick but effective wiki home page. Light coding will be involved with explained example code. Front page examples at the end if you'd like to take a look first.

    1. Concise - relay important information without the fluff. A huge chunk of text is less likely to be read.

    2. Clarity - make it clear on what the wiki's about, and what's there, especially if it's a lesser known topic.

    3. User-centered - wikis arre for the users! What do they need? E.g. clear navigation to main wiki pages.

    1. Headings - a few to break up the important front page content. E.g. About, navigation, Image gallery.

    2. Images - add a header image and/or gallery to visually show your topic. Images speak a 1000 words!

    3. Formatting - from simple heading…

    Question

When a wiki is migrated from legacy to UCP, what will happen to existing discussions, article comments, blogs, and blog comments? Will all of these migrate as well or will some be lost?

This blog post is recommended etiquette for administrators on any wiki.

    • Don't ban users forever the first time they break the rules. Warn them first.
    • If they continue to break the rules, then you can ban them. Here are some recommendations for how long to ban them for:
      • Minor offense: 1 to 24 hours for first offense
      • Vandalism: 24 hours to 1 week for first offense
      • Posting pornographic images: 1 year for first offense (even porn-posters can change)
      • Edit warring: 24 hours to 1 month
      • Violating FANDOM's Terms of Use: infinite
      • Other violation of rules: depends
    • Calmly resolve any conflicts you may have with the user.

I understand UCP Wikis are very hatred wikis, but their not that bad, I know some people that prefer Non-UCP and .Wikia Wikis, let me talk about this first.

Wikia Wikis (Wikis that had been since the .wikia brand, and before the migration to fandom.com) have a bit extra features, these wikis are a bit rare, a example of a .wikia wiki would be; roblox.wikia.com, If you want a .wikia wiki, just find one, add information to it, and just adopt it, it's not hard to do. This is all i can explain about .wikia wikis.

Non-UCP, or Older Wikis that hadn't been around since the .wikia brand are wikis that also contain extra features.

Unlike UCP Wikis, .Wikia and Non-UCP Wikis can download many extensions, like if you want a bot that can moderate
