Technical Updates: May 16, 2025
Hey hey, here we are again! Normally this would've been the last tech blog of May, as there tend to be two per month, but hey, May surprises us with three tech blogs this year! If you read this while thinking "What is a tech blog", I got you. The Technical Updates are a blog series we release every two weeks, containing an update of relevant platform changes, products released by specific product themes, an overview of experiments that may be relevant to note, and a selection of user-facing bug tickets that got fixed (or that we're working on fixing). In addition to providing you with these insights, the comment section is also a good place for you to ask questions, give feedback on your experience, or report bugs you may have encountered …

Eyo, my lovely people. It's gonna be may! If you know, you know, and you're welcome to now have that song on repeat in your head. If you don't know, no worries, it's an age thing. Either way, welcome to our first tech blog of May! Every two weeks, the Technical Updates blog takes you through a selection of user-facing bugs that got fixed, potential experiments that are running, or things that changed on the platform. Other than (hopefully) serving as a source of information to you, you can also use the comment section to ask questions, give constructive feedback, and report any bugs you may have encountered.

Technical Updates: February 7, 2025
Hello, hello, hello, lovelies! This is the first of two tech blogs I will be posting in February. This is the place for you to be updated on a selection of bug fixes that got fixed over the course of the past two weeks, what's being worked on, and what you may expect in terms of experiments and releases. It's also a great opportunity to ask questions or report problems in the comment section. A general note that has been unique to all the tech blogs of 2025 thus far is that there seemingly haven't been that many fixes or announcements. The simple reason for this is because a lot of the engineers have been helping to review and prepare the update of all the wikis on the platform to the MediaWiki 1.43 version. A lot of work goes into that be…
