What is your username? Drocket
Please link to the wiki here: Steam Trading Card Wiki
How many edits have you made on that wiki? 40,000
How many days/months have you been editing there? 11 months (August 12, 2013)
On the Special Pages → Special:ListUsers when was the last time an admin edited, and who was it? June 24, 2014, Kennyannydenny
Any other information: Kennyannydenny is the only administrator on the wiki, but he's said he doesn't have much time for the Steam card wiki (he also does work on the Elder Scrolls wiki.) He only pops in once a month or so to clear out the Candidates for Deletion and things of that nature that nobody else on the wiki is able to do. I've spoken to him about being promoted to an administrator and he's OK with that, but he doesn't have the authority to promote me. The only bureaucrat on the Wiki is Nebthtet, who hsn't been seen since last November.
If this isn't the right place to request help with this issue (since its not entirely abandoned, per se), please let me know here to go/who to contact. Thanks!
The 60 days rule is usually ignored if the admin agrees. However, there still are other users active. Make a blog where you ask for permission, or ask every active member individually, and include links here. --Tupka217 09:05, July 14, 2014 (UTC)
- Hello. It is fine to ask for this here. However Tupka is correct that there are a number of other active contributors on that wikia. Please start a blog about adopting the wikia and give everyone about a week to see/respond to it. We will also need a link to see where the existing admin said he would be willing to have you promoted; if you want bureaucrat rights so you can promote other users please make sure he is aware of that also. If the previous consent was given off-wikia or on chat, it's fine if he just comments on the blog or even on this request; we just need to verify that he is ok with the promotion. I will put this request on hold -- please feel free to remind me on my wall to check back after a week or so. -- Wendy (talk) 03:11, July 25, 2014 (UTC)
- Ok, then - it took a while because I was waiting for a reply from Kennyannydenny confirming that he was OK with all of this before I did anything else. That conversation can be found here. Now that I have his permission, I also wrote a blog post about it, which is here. I'll poke you in a week. Thanks! - Drocket (talk) 00:00, August 7, 2014 (UTC)
