How to create a 100% blank page like the Main page without the right column with Recent Wiki Activity and 104,429 photos on this wiki etc. ? Is there a special page? Sam Wang 09:58, February 2, 2012 (UTC)

Generally, only the main pages for each wiki don't have the siderail and there isn't a special page where you can create other pages that don't have the siderail either. In general, it's against the Terms of Use to remove the siderail on namespaces that do have it, like the mainspace, user pages etc. However, if you request a custom non-content namespace (like many wikis do with "Portal"), the sidebar doesn't appear on pages in that namespace. So how should I create a Portal page? Sam Wang 02:16, February 3, 2012 (UTC)
No, just go to Special:Contact and request a non-content namespace. For more information, see Help:Custom namespaces. Also, technically you can change MediaWiki:Mainpage, but that's not a very good idea. —Airhogs777 WCB WS 02:20, February 3, 2012 (UTC)
