Star Wars: Battlefront is a third-person shooter based on the Star Wars film franchise developed by Pandemic Studios and published by LucasArts. The game was released on the Playstation 2, Xbox and PC on September 21, 2004. A port of the game, titled Star Wars: Battlefront Mobile was released the following year.
The game was wildly successful, quickly becoming the best selling title based on the Star Wars franchise by the end of the year, launching a series. It would be followed by a sequel in Star Wars Battlefront II the next year.
