Anna Mae Bullock, known by her stage name Tina Turner, was an American-born and naturalized Swiss singer-songwriter, dancer, actress, and author, whose career had spanned more than fifty years, earning her widespread recognition and numerous awards. She was probably best known for her singles "We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)", "Typical Male", "The Best", "I Don't Wanna Fight", and "GoldenEye", for the 1995 James Bond film of the same name. In addition to music, she played Aunty Entity in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and the Mayor of Los Angeles in Last Action Hero.

For Disney, she contributed the songs "Easy As Life" (with Angélique Kidjo) in the concept album Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida and "Great Spirits" in the 2003 Disney animated feature film Brother Bear. She also performed "He Lives in You" in the international release of The Lion King II: Simba's Pride and the compilation album The Lion King Collection. Her cover of "Whole Lotta Love" was featured in Cruella.

She was played by Angela Bassett in the 1993 Touchstone Pictures film What's Love Got to Do with It.
