Portia Lee James DeGeneres (born Amanda Lee Rogers), also known professionally as Portia de Rossi, is an Australian-American businesswoman, philanthropist, and former model and actress. She is best known for her roles as Nelle Porter in the Fox comedy-drama series Ally McBeal from 1998 to 2002 and Lindsay Bluth-Fünke in the Fox/Netflix sitcom Arrested Development from 2003 to 2006, 2013, and 2018 to 2019. She also played Olivia Lord in the FX drama series Nip/Tuc from 2007 to 2009 and Veronica Palmer in the ABC sitcom, Better Off Ted from 2009 to 2010.
Her only Disney roles so far are voicing Edie in Doc McStuffins, as well as portraying Elizabeth North in the ABC TV show Scandal.
She came out as lesbian, and is the wife of Ellen DeGeneres, who voiced Dory in Disney/Pixar's Finding Nemo (2003) and its sequel Finding Dory (2016).
