I've given up on people giving our (arguably better supported but whatever) source editor a try (if at least source editor was default so that people could at least give it a try! *sigh*), and looked into the Visual Editor.
And one major flaw of the Visual Editor I find, is the "Insert Template" part. It just lists templates based on how often they were used, but also includes helper Templates like the clr template. (I even set the template type to "Non-article" so what gives?)
So I have 2 questions:
1. Is there a possibility for me to just list the templates I want included in the "Insert Template" popup (ordered however I want them to be ordered) kind of like we did with our template preloads here: https://utaite.fandom.com/wiki/Template:Stdpreloads without tinkering with more custom js code?
2. Moreover, I may just be missing something, but is there no option to load a whole page template when creating a new page? Almost all of our recently created new pages didn't have the proper layout because editors have to insert templates from scratch, so nobody really wants to follow the actual page layout...
Both, a better insert template popup, as well as the option to load a whole page template would improve page quality tremendously, and people would be less confused on how to start, I believe... Which is why I'd like to know possibilities to achieve this, is possible! :)
