So I've been noticing this on many of the old templates on my wiki:

[[Category:Featured articles|{{PAGENAME}}]]

Does the {{PAGENAME}} in that place serve any purpose?

So what happens to Talk pages after the transition? Can they still be viewed? Are they archived in any way or not at all?
