Howdy! After reading some books ('The Morningstar Strain Saga', books 1 & 2 of 6 novels) I searched Duck Duck Go and found a Fandom wikia page started by another user. With the novels fresh in my mind, I decided to contribute by editing some pages and adding a few to that wikia.
When I came back to edit some more pages (I use Chrome in Windows) I searched for the Morningstar Strain pages using the search bar on the fandom.com homepage. I received no search results for 'morningstar strain', but got a bunch for other unrelated content. I tried using the search icon on the upper left side of the pages, and the one in the upper right of the pages. No results.
Using search terms that should be unique or rare also came back with no results linking to the wikia. A search for a book character, 'Mbutu Ngasy' only results in a page for Nigeria, though the character is from Kenya.)
If I search on 'Duck Duck Go' in a private search window, for 'Mbutu Ngasy', the first result is to Fandom's Morningstar Strain wiki. Searching for 'Morningstar Strain wiki' in a private Duck Duck Go page brings the Fandom wikia page as the second hit. (The first hit is to a marijuana wiki, apparently 'Morning Star strain', three words instead of two, is a type of marijuana plant. Who knew.)
So why doesn't a Fandom search find pages on it's own site?
Oh, and shouldn't my own user page show pages that I have made or edited across Fandom? My profile page shows 0 edits and 0 posts. I would use my user page to link to pages I have edited to do some more editing.
Thanks in advance for your feedback.
