Any ideas?
Ah, that looks very promising. I'll give these a try later today. Thanks.
I can give that a try. But I'm not sure that will give me what I'm looking to find out. I assume the first example will return true, and I'm not sure what doing an #ifexist on [[Some Faction]] will return but afraid it will return true as well. I really was hoping to just determine if the parameter entry had the [[ characters in it.
I may have been unclear. I'm trying to solve a situation where my template has a parameter which could be set like:
myparam=Some Faction
or
myparam=[[Some Faction]]
If its sent as in the first example, then in my template I'd like to wrap it with [[ ... ]] to turn it into a link, otherwise, I need to leave it alone. There are plenty of existing places using the template and they vary between which way they are assigning the parameter. I like to just solve the issue in the template instead of having to adjust all the places its being used.

Nevermind...I edited the category page and a fresh save of the page fixed the problem. It was quite strange. The resulting web page was not forming correclty. Even the common wikia bottom bar was even messed up.
I have a category page that appears to be broken. How do I go about trying to fix it? The category page is http://swtor.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Candidates_for_deletion.
