So has there been any updates on Announcements and whether or not they plan to expand on how many announcements can be made at a time? I ask bc it's really becoming a nuisance to have to expire a previous Announcement just to create a new one, especially when they're done so frequently. I feel as if the retirement of forum highlights was premature if Announcements can't at least match its capabilities.

I thought that was odd as well, and it will surely cause confusion. The message makes it seem more like an error, rather than the ability to comment anonymously actually being disabled.

Now that's a draft feature I would've been interested in; one that saves your comments as you type. However, one does not exist and so I learned years ago that it's best to just copy my comment before pressing the reply button. It's your only option really.

So I'm being penalized for others' lack of reading? It's as big as day. If you don't see the button or just didn't read, that's on you. Not sure what you mean by whatever message I have is lost.

As Andrewds1021 pointed out, one Announcement at a time is entirely too restrictive. As for being bombarded with highlighted threads, it takes all of a few seconds to click the "MARK ALL AS READ" button. Furthermore, if you've only gone to a Wiki once or twice simply to read, my understanding is that you wouldn't receive the Announcement. It's only for users who've been active within the past 90 days. I'm not saying that we should be allowed to have 10 active Announcements at any give time, but a more moderate number like 3 wouldn't hurt anyone.

@Tupka217, there's no need here. It's just Wiki. However, it's something I've been doing for the last couple years. It's become routine and it's kinda expected at this point from the community. I'm an admin on several tv Wikis, which of course means screencaps from episodes, and that's where the 100+ comes in.
@Gilben, that's unfortunate, but I had never received that error until the domain migration. And yes, you are correct that I want to copy and paste, meaning, Special:MultipleUpload does me no good. This is exactly what I was referring to when I said regular image uploader in my post above. And thanks for the recommendation. The code looks rather complicated, but I'll look into it.

As I've explained in the previous post, I don't intend to use Multiuploader to upload any images. I haven't since the domain migrations. I only need it for the open dialogue box that comes with the application. However, I can't get to the dialogue box without logging in, which requires a wikia.com domain. The reason I use the dialogue box is because on average, I upload 100+ images a week, and it's immensely faster to use a dialogue box to copy and paste 100+ file names to a page than it is using the regular image uploader. As you can see in the photo, an error occurs when using a fandom.com domain

We probably have had this convo before, though I'm not asking for a fix to the multiuploader this time around bc that may be a while if at all. I need something now to help me continue with the work I've been doing, which is why I'm simply looking for a community still under the wikia.com domain just so that I can use the dialogue box from the multiuploader. As I said above, with the exception of that one feature, multiuploader is practically useless right now as far as uploading is concerned.

I only ask because the wikia.com domain is needed just to bypass the the log in for MultiUploader. The domain migration has rendered this application nearly useless with the exception of the open dialogue box it has, which is useful for uploading dozens of images at a time, which I do weekly. So a domain under wikia.com would be useful just so that I can log in and use the open dialogue box

@Fngplg, Exactly! Having to do this over and over becomes annoying AF at a point. And warning users ain't much help since there's always one to follow up the previous users who did it and was warned.

Is it at all possible to turn off template editor for infoboxes when you click on them in visual editor? When using it in visual editor, whatever fields that are left empty, are removed entirely. It's inconvenient and extremely annoying when users persist on using the template editor in this manner.
