I was just wondering what are the requirements of becoming a "Chat moderator" on community central? I would like in the future to be a chat moderator but don't know how to become one.
Can anyone provide useful details?
Thats rather odd the fact that you still receive said emails. For me it has stopped the FANDOM emails even on a secondary account here on wikia which I no-longer use though still have the email address in that accounts preferences. Have you tried contacting Wikia's staff? It could be a glitch in the system.
Thanks for the comments, I now know how the chat moderators + admins are elected. Many thanks!

So its like I suspected, the staff choose the moderators. Is this the same for administrators? Are they chosen by the staff as well.

To all who are having said problems if such problem exists then contact wikia staff, if the problem is external and outside there control then I'd suggest find a plugin for your web browser like firefox but one which uses adblock-plus this might block adverts/popups from appearing, as it does for me....
Some of these popups are sometimes adverts for surveys, I did spoke to a staff at one stage and they stated that they only happen rarely - if it is a bad advert then view this page and click on the link under "How do I report a bad advertisement?".
Can't find it, and googling doesn't come up with the term "UM Show" the actual name of the show would help - plus have you tried to imdb it - here - although Internet movie database includes films but also TV Shows.
The answer from wikia will be no - if you haven't done so already please remind yourself of the Terms & Conditions - only those age 13 and above are allowed to access the site - further more if some users have been falsifying his/her age then the conditions states they may be blocked as quoted "The Company may terminate your account, delete your profile and any content or information that you have posted on the Service and/or prohibit you from using or accessing the Service for any reason, or no reason, at any time in its sole discretion, with or without notice."
I only deal with community central on wikia, I don't use any other wikia sites - sorry can't help, other's might know... Also as far as I'm aware those user rights which I've provided are the default..
Don't know it's not on the "Official" user right list - Must be custom for some wiki...
All the known user rights list are placed here - please see that wikia page for further details....
Do you have the "MAIN" wiki Management board on YOUR watchlist if so unsubscribe from it and then it should technically stop....
Edit: Like for example this http://community.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Forum
Individual wiki's have it's own rules (policies) for that particular wiki - if there is such a policy on Grojband wiki then yes it'll be against that wiki's policy - however though that being said, it sounds to me more like a bug on wikia if so then report it via "Special:Contact" so the technical staff can have a look at it.....
Please see http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/nt-backup-restore-utility/38bcfe1a-9778-44ae-a583-3f1a2b1c8311 - this is from Microsoft Answers page someone else had posted a similar message and a Microsoft Advisor responded to them with the correct answer....
There is a glitch in chat even I'm not able to logon to it - if it continues someone might be wise to mention it to wikia support (technical) staff.....
Edit: They maybe doing some routine maintenance.
The User creation log may not be updating due to the site change to Darwin, if its still a problem it may be wise to contact a wikia technical staff about it. It should still work though it may not due to Darwin improvements by wikia developers...
If you can't tell us which wiki you are experiencing the problem then we can't help - as Nerfmaster8 states it is best to contact wikia themselves if however you don't see any type of avatars showing in the avatar box then people may not be using chat.....
I was wondering if wikia is having technical problems with sending out email address confirmations. Is this the case, or is it at my email provider at fault on this one? Mainly because I've requested several email confirmations to confirm my email address and haven't received all of them.
@Xacy: If you really want to know that question, look into the online dictionary - you may not be able to find the full wording but if you do a search for "classification" and then "precision" seperatly then you'll find the answer.
