Fandyllic's right, I don't think you can (I assume it's pages that have seen recent risings in viewings, or just the most popular that are automatically generated). I guess the platform was more designed for TV/Films were there will be more discussions and polls. However, the 'Welcome to the Community!' section is editable from the Mobile Main Page (and I see someone on your wiki has edited it). That's the main customisable area where you can give basic information - perhaps FANDOM will add others in the future.

There are two different concepts here: the landing page (where people go when they type in https:pocketfrogs.fandom.com) and the main page which is curated by the editors of the wiki. Your main page has stayed the same (see below) just the landing page for unregistered viewers has switched to Discussions. This change is normal and announced some time ago. As Discussions sums up both the content of the wiki (through the 'explore' sidebar) and the community (through the posts) this is seen as the ideal main page of the wiki (and fits in with the style of the FANDOM app). This is where all unregistered users will be taken on any wiki (if discussions is enabled). However, you should keep the mediawiki page the same. Whilst Discussions is the landing page of your wiki, the 'WIKI NAME' page will remain as the main page. The page on the mediawiki page is where the button 'Main Page' that appears for viewers when they are on Dicussions leads to. Whilst you can can't change the landing page of all people on your wiki, you can switch it for you alone to 'Main Page' under your Preferences. Hope this helps clear it up! :)

You're right, they shouldnt show up. But the cache on your wanted pages list was last updated on 21 July (before you updated your main page). On 21 July, these pages were linked to from the main page as part of the default main page. The cache should update regularly (every few days?) but something has gone wrong here and I've seen multiple wikis where this is happening. And it also seems to be happening on all of your special pages. I think you need to ask FANDOM staff to do a forced update and then it should work and update as per usual.

Go to the dropdown underneath the 'edit' button on each particular page (as far as I'm aware, there's no way to do this to the whole wiki) and click on the 'protect' button. There should be a box underneath the first section which says 'unlcok further protect options' - check that and then change the 'move' section from 'allow all users' to 'Administrators and Content Moderators only'.

Wiki description

Hi there, Currently, when searching 'His Dark Materials' in the search bar, it comes up with the wiki but underneath there's a piece of text that says 'A resource for facts...' and some other text. I really want to update it (for it's years old) but I can't see where the text is coming from. The mobile main page was updated months ago so I don't think it comes from there but will changing MediaWiki:Description make it work or do I need to contact staff to update it? Thanks in advance for any help!

Thanks, evilquoll. Although I do fear that a lot of smaller wikis now are being run by power-hungy admins who take delight in blocking users for the silliest of the things. Let's hope the HDM wiki doesn't descend into that state... On the other hand, a load of users who are blocked claim they were blocked wrongfully and come here to complain about it. Without giving us a link to the wiki, it's hard to understand your situation and advise you on the best path to take.

Not possible, I'm afraid. Just simply don't go on that wiki, don't even make another account which would be a sockpuppet an completely to obliterate any chance of discussions to lift the block with the admin. If that wiki's subject interests you, make your own wiki for it or find other wikis to edit. There is normally a way to appeal and a lot of admins will if you admit to your mistakes. Love Robin is exceptionally good at dealing with conflicts so, if you're desperate for help and the admin is being unreasonable, try asking for assistance. Also read User blog:Sannse/How to Get Unblocked for information on the subject.

Go to Zendesk (click the contact form and perhaps go under I've found a bug). MediaWiki is the platform this site is run on (and many other wikis too, including Wikipedia). MediaWiki is what makes links ([[ ]]) work and the site in whole. However, FANDOM is based on a slightly old version however (as per this blog) the site will be upgrading to a more modern version which will allow more opportunities. The Dev Wiki is a bunch of active coders who make certain scripts that can modify/add/remove things from the site and can fix certain things that go wrong (like the one above).

You could try, but I'm pretty sure staff are aware of it (in the case above, my WM contacted staff and they said that that template - which definitely is limited - was the best option). Perhaps there will be a better one when the new MediaWiki update comes out! Although that discovery might be new information to them so it might be best to give it a shot.

I brought this up with my WM on the His Dark Materials Wiki recently (see here). Generally, our Quote template works fine on mobiles but our dialogue ones (as linked in the thread) don't work at all. It seems that Lua is the only option that works. If you just want to hide it and can't be bothered with the code, change the template type from 'quote' to 'notice' (nothing will change except that the 'notice' part hides it from mobiles).

It's looking way better already! If you think that will help, go ahead and add it. It might be better to give a link to each member and perhaps a short sentence/few words. For example (obviously this is not your band):

John Lennon: singer
Paul McCartney: bassist

I think this might have something to do with the familiar template. I'm not an expert at this stuff but, for those who are, I believe this image came from this page and the problem possibly stems from the familiar template.

From what I can tell, if you are referring to the largest wikis (w:c:taylorswift for example) then these wikis have never had comment sections. Perhaps you're thinking of some duplicate, much smaller wikis.

However, that does not show up when you search 'Wowpedia' into search - the number of videos is still '0'.

See here. Not sure whether this is something you'll want to change but I believe you can't upload videos onto Gamepedia which means that all Gamepedia Wiki will display 0 videos when searched for which doesn't look great - perhaps this can be removed?

You're an admin on that wiki, right? Go to MediaWiki:Wiki-navigation on your wiki and follow the instructions listed at Help:Navigation. Adding a category to the navigation bar should be quite simple:

It's been happening to me recently too (and not just on my Window's Vista) - I'll be trying to find some links on a page and the blue highlighting doesn't move. I'm not sure what's going on but try contacting staff and filing a bug report.
