<p>None of the scrips I've installed in my personal JS work. I don't know if it's the latest thing I tried to add or if it's a bug or what but does anyone see anything wrong code-wise in my JS settings?

<p>Yeah, that's enabled and has been for a while. WHAM worked as recently as 5 days ago so whatever is causing this is less than 5 days old.

<p>Can someone explain to me why I can't get my personal JS to work on my desktop computer? It worked fine on my laptop (which is now in the shop) but it doesn't work on my desktop. Before you ask yes I enabled it in my preferences. It seems to be an issue with my computer.

Anons were disabled a couple years back on one of my wikis and the only thing I really noticed was a reduction in vandalism. That and a repeat troll who used proxies to disguise his main account from staff showed a up a lot less after the change. I don't recall a significant change inactivity either way. I think it's a good change that gives wikis more options. If you don't like the idea of disabling anons then don't disable them. It's not like staff is shoving this change down people's throats. I wish some of the more annoying changes Wikia makes were optional.

<p>Is there a way to prevent a specific picture from being uploaded? There's an image I keep having to delete because someone insists on re uploading it. I know the software recognizes previously deleted pictures because it gives a warning about it when it's re uploaded, regardless of title. It would be nice if there was something I could do to keep it off.

<p>All of the above basically. Or if that's not possible a separate script for each. Obviously I'd want it to delete any responses if the OP was deleted. I don't know what JS is capable of in that respect. So yeah, any help with that would be great.

<p>Long story short I want to be able to message wall messages and board posts like you can any other page and I found out you can do that with the API like it does in this script, except I want to be able to do it by thread or by post instead of en mass from one user. I've been looking over the script trying to figure out how the code works and I can't figure it out, other than it has something to do with "apidelete", let alone make the necessary changes for what I need. Anyone have any suggestions? Please dumb it down as much as you can since apparently I can't do JS.

<p>Don't hold me to this as I've never tried this but if you hover over the timestamp of the comment you'll get the the Talk:X/@comment-Y forum of the comment. Copy and paste that into Special:MovePage/paste here and switch out the name of the page it's on for the name of the the page you wan it to be on. I know you'll be able to pull up the move page. Whether or not it actually goes through like you'd expect I don't know since I've never tried it.

If I were to get an account flagged at a bot would performing a large number of edits make the recent activity screen go blank? If so getting a bot account would really help me.

<p>Yeah, I've been on wikis without logging in before and it can be a nightmare. I actually sent in a bug report because it shouldn't be crashing browsers like that. As others have said adblock plus is your friend. I actually switched browers just to be able to use it when I found out I don't have to sit though ads to watch youtube videos.

<p>^That too. I've seen those massively long blocks simply expire. See here for details. You shouldn't need more than few weeks for a first offence. You can always block longer on the off chance the IP causes problems when the block expires.

<p>Are you sure problem is as bad as you think? You get a vandal every couple of weeks or so based on the block log. It's not a huge problem based on what I see. Just block when you get a vandal. To be honest you really don't need those 10000 year blocks either. 2 weeks should do just fine for a first offense from an IP. This is good advice to follow.
