I think you're way overthinking this. Making updates to other people's work is the name of the game on a wiki, and this includes reverting the vandalism of dopey trolls. I very much doubt your troll is sticking around waiting to bother you, Changes like the ones you reverted are meant to annoy and the troll knows they are only temporary. They've likely already moved on to annoy someone else on another wiki.

Even if they wanted to harass you, there is very little they can do. And if your wiki's admins don't handle it, then Fandom can step in and take care of it.

Do you still need help with this? Looking at your menu code, you seem to have a lot of hashtags (#) in the code that are breaking your attempts to link. For example, try removing the 2 hashtags around the words "Members" and "Episodes" and those links should start working.

In my experience, this happens when you have a bad wi-fi connection. Disconnect from your wi-fi, then reconnect and it should be good.

Purging the template was the first thing I tried (with no luck). The null edit didn't work, but adding/removing a blank line did. I'll probably stick with purging each page as I won't have to touch the actual content of the page that way.

I've passed a note on to an admin at the Game of Thrones wiki giving them a heads up on the problem and solution as well.

I've been purging pages that use the dialogue template and they display correctly afterwards. I'll just have to go through and purge the rest.

I've added the code you posted as hopefully a temporary fix until I can come up with a simpler background through Theme Designer. The code works as you said it would. Thanks!

Thank you. Should have known it was too easy. Setting the parchment background image via css was a remnant from the old Theme Designer. We originally had an image posted in the header in Theme Designer and then the parchment image from css was used for the background for the rest of the page below the header. I tried to add the old header image in the new Theme Designer but it just doesn't work the same way.

I'll have to look more into this tomorrow.

I actually think I figured it out based on your identification of that particular piece of code. I went into Theme Designer and updated the Dark Theme Community header color to black and it worked.

Thanks, I tried changing line 15 as you suggested, but the white text remains. (I did purge the browser cache, so that's not the issue.)

All of my page view information for the last two days is listed as 0. I get this all the time on the most current day, but this is the first time I've seen two days listed this way.

For anyone who may someday stumble on this issue of missing talk page email notifications in the future: It was determined that my mail service provider was filtering out Talk page notifications as spam before reaching my pc (other Fandom messages seemed to come through ok). I had to log into the online version of my mailbox, find the message in the spam folder, and then mark it as "not spam". Then succeeding messages came across ok.

Thanks, I've opened up a follow up ticket. It's not so much a problem for me. I regularly check the recent change log. But some of my wiki's staff may not log in for weeks or months, and it was my only way to communicate with them in a timely fashion,

Do you know if anyone is working on the bug that prevents us from receiving email notifications when the "email me when...my user talk page is changed" option is selected in user preferences? It's just shy of a year since I opened a ticket on this. It makes it difficult to remain in contact with people who don't check into the wiki regularly.

Redlinks now appear as regular non-linked text when you are not logged in--essentially hiding them as dead links. I'm not sure if this is a bug, feature, or just something I somehow never noticed before.
